not a comparison. Sanchez started for years Tebow didn't get a single start. Tebow was never given a chance. Sanchez was given fifty chances.
Unfair by overpaying him and giving him one of the longest leashes ever? Unfair by never challenging him with a backup who might actually take his job? He still might even start next year. Please.just.stop.
I assume what you think because many of you have shown a mentality similar to a whiny teenager who doesn't take responsibility for anything and blames everyone else for their problems. That's not unreasonable, it's just learning what many of you are all about by hearing tebots rip off excuse after excuse over the past 2 years for his sucking. The bottom line is that the coaches whose jobs depend on winning and saw him every day in practice never wanted to put him in at QB. You all have several excuses to explain that away too, by the way. No one gives a shit if you want him to start either. You say I'm wrong but your first words are "unfair, maybe". LMFAO Did you even read what you wrote? I'm wrong in thinking that you guys might think he was treated unfairly but you say maybe he was treated unfairly.
I guess it was so unfair to Tebow that he chose to ignore all of his teammates today and sulk on the sidelines. At least twice they showed GMac,Sanchez, and coaches talking over the previous series, and Tebow was either completely ignoring them or way away from them on the sideline. They took him off the punt team as well, although I don't know if that's related. If he doesn't want to participate, he can just skip the game next week and stay home.
Reading comprehension is a valuable skill. You are wrapped up around the axle on the use of the term "maybe". For you, "maybe" means that I think he was treated unfairly. To me, "maybe" means perhaps he was, perhaps he was not. It does not indicate my stance on it either way. Is there a possibility that he was treated unfairly? Sure there is a possibility. Is there a possibility that he was treated fairly? Sure there is a possibility. You must first understand vocabulary in order to dissect it. As far as no one "giving a shit" whether I think he starts, I am clearly aware of that. At the same token, however, no one "gives a shit" whether you think he shouldn't. In the eyes of the world, there is a similar level of disinterest in what you and I think about Tebow. It is not a one-way street. As far as the coaches not starting Tebow... you have a point. They saw Sanchez as the "best chance to win". Didn't quite work out. They saw McElroy as the "next best chance to win". Didn't look quite so good today, but we shall see. The Jets front office and coaching staff are hardly the creme-de-la-creme of the NFL. Not a genius braintrust by any stretch. Put your faith in them if you choose. McElroy 2013 will be interesting to watch. Yes I read what I wrote, as I see you did also. The difference is that I can comprehend the meaning of words written in sentences.
Unfair by putting SB talk on him his first year in the league? Unfair but taking away his favorite receivers, giving him malcontents as wide receivers, letting Schotty keep on running that offense? Yeah you could say they were unfair. In a different way than Tebow, but still unfair. They basically handed the keys to a broken car to him in year 3 and said fix it. That's pretty unfair. It's a different type of unfair, but still unfair. He's gonna get paid and he got to start for 3.75 years, but it wasn't like the Jets fully committed to him ever. Just like they never fully committed to Tebow. It's like they don't want to fully commit to avoid getting burnt, but at the ned of the day you get burnt anyways
Ahhh the delicious irony. Before you went on your rant about me not being able to comprehend, perhaps you should have taken the time to actually understand what you were responding to and why your response was so amusing. I'm in the Christmas spirit so I'm going to give you a hand here and break it all down for you. Let's review the original post that started your downward spiral of stupid rants. Meaning: If the sentence to follow turned out to be true, I would not be suprised. Your apparent interpretation: The following is absolutely true. Meaning: The subject "tebots" in this example refers to some percentage of the entire population of tebots. So in that part of the sentence we're saying some portion of the tebot population thought the Jets were unfair to Tebow. Your apparent interpretation: All tebots thought the Jets were unfair to Tebow. To put it all together in a long winded broken down version, what I said was that if a portion of the tebots thought Tebow was treated unfairly I would not be surprised. To give an example, this would be similar to saying "I wouldn't be surprised if people thought Obama was ruining the country" or "I wouldn't be surprised if football fans hated Goodell." What you seem to have misinterpreted based on your rants was "All tebots think Tebow was treated unfairly". It's also possible that you think you are or you speak for the entire tebot population, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you aren't that delusional. Your response to the original statement then said "unfair, maybe" in the first line. So you seem to think it's a possibility that Tebow was not treated fairly. You then go on to say that their are non-tebow fans that do think he was treated unfairly. You then talk about how you and other tebots don't want him to start, which is a different conversation all together as to whether or not he was treated fairly. The reason you bring it up is unknown. Your conclusion is then, that I was wrong. So you talk about how he may have been treated unfairly. You talk about how you know some people do think he was treated unfairly. And then some how, some way come to the awesome conclusion that if I wouldn't be surprised that tebots thought he was treated unfairly, I am wrong. Seems to me that you wouldn't be surprised by that either. As for the no one gives a shit part that you seem hung up on ... again, whether you guys want him to start at this point is irrelevant to the entire discussion. So why bring it up? No one gives a shit. As for the shitty front office. Yea, we know, they have issues. The biggest mistake they made with Tebow was trading for him in the first place but a lot of us said that when it happened. We already know you guys think the Broncos don't have the creme-de-la-creme front office and coaching staff either. They seem to be doing quite well now that they moved on from the great Tebow though. Poor Tebow ... must have been treated unfairly. Enjoy watching Tebow fail in Jacksonville where they clearly do have a creme-de-la-creme front office and coaching staff. It's always good when the owner is driving football decisions. I mean that's how Tebow ended up in NY anyway. I mean really, enjoy that. To be honest, a "creme-de-la-creme" fo/cs probably isn't going to touch Tebow with a stick. So best of luck to you on finding that "creme-de-la-creme" fo/cs to give poor Tebow a fair chance. Too funny.
Hey guess what? The Jets were unfair to ME by making me deal with this Tebow bullshit and endure this travesty of a season.
Nah! there is still one more week in the season and they're affraid we "Tebots" will spill over into the main forum. You will get your wish soon enough once/if Tebow gets traded. Then the magic eraser will appear and all of these threads will have never existed.
Yeah, it'll happen around the same time Vanderbilt wins a national championship and the Jets win a Superbowl.
