what's funny is you took the time to look it up. even after I admitted that the only reason I started posting was you idiots. Chances are you wont see me post much after either. Unless we get some other dick licking, jock humping, douche bag fan base like tebows.
If you started posting here only because of "idiots" then it doesn't say much about how you value your time. BTW, I think all of the Tebow fans are quite reasonable. We say, "Tebow doesn't suck." Somehow it is interpreted as ZOMG he is the best NFL QB ever and should be voted into the HOF. There isn't one Tebow fan here who doesn't say he needs to improve and get better. I don't see how that could be qualified as "dick licking", as you so eloquently stated.
Murrell2878 states that "Tebow sucks" and Longtimejetsfan states that "Tebow blows". You know guys, I'm impressed, I haven't seen that kind of literary acumen since "Jet4lyfah" was banned. You juys must have been delving deeply into your Thesuarus for those pearls of widsom. Perhaps before we leave you can enlighten us as why you are always here constantly deriding us, is it some sort of penance like 3 Our Fathers and 10 Hail Marys? Is it a rite of manhood like a fraternal initiation where you have so many tasks to complete before you can move on to a higher virtual existance? It's bad enough that we have to sit here watching Tim ride pine all season because Rex is trying to save face with Sanchez. Having to endure C_C and Phaytal plus all of the other Flotsam and Jetsam from the rest of the league which have had free reign in here is a bit OTT don't you think? A large portion of the "Tebots" as you call us are alumni of the University of Florida, as in college graduates. It would have been nice if the haters could construct a complete sentence once in a while and knew the difference between "hear, and here", "there, their, and they're", "two, to, and too", or "your, and you're". It would have possibly led to a less hostile atmosphere, with more intelligent, friendly discourse. This would have possibly led to less waving of the "Ban Hammers". Just a friendly observation. Semper Fi Do or die Oorah
If Tebow "sucks", and that means he is "bad"... And if someone else says that he blows, and "to blow" is the opposite of "to suck" Does that mean that saying that he "blows" means that he is the opposite of "bad" or "good"?
It can't happen soon enough. Bad football decision on both parts. Peace out to some of his supporters but to the Tebots I bid you Adieu Too bad we can't send Skip Bayless and the president of ESPN with him
There are dozens of Florida Gators in the NFL. Why aren't you guys fans of the other teams with Gator alums? And what is the definition of a hater anyway? I never understood that term. Is is someone who disagrees with you on whether your favorite player is any good? Or your team is a good team or not. Are fans supposed to like every player in the NFL and root for every team to avoid being a hater? I am a hater of the term hater and it is overused on this board. Are all Jets fans haters because of the rivalry with the Pats and how we feel about that team and its players? Does the same go for Pats fans? I admit that I am not a Tebow fan. I don't dislike Tebow the person. He seems like a genuinely nice person. I don't like Tebow the football player. IMO he is not an NFL QB. IMO, almost every win the Broncos had with at QB last year was the result of something other than good QB play. I don't think his style of play comes close to translating into winning football in today's NFL, which requires the ability to pass the ball almost above all else. Most of all, I don't like the irrational disproportional attention Tebow gets from the media and his groupies/fans. He doesn't deserve that attention and it is distracting and divisive for the fans and players of whatever team he happens to be a member of. I didn't want him anywhere near the Jets for those reasons and my fears have been realized. 2012 will go down as one of the worst seasons in Jets history and Tebow played a part. He belonged in Jacksonville and not here. He was never ever going to be the starting QB here no matter what and if he was not able to hear or believe what the CS said from March through today, then that is his problem. Yes, he was underutilized as a wildcat QB or special package QB or whatever, but it would not have made a difference on this team. I am not a hateful person, but I cannot wait until he is off this roster so the entire Tebow situation and discussion can take place somewhere else other than with the team I have rooted for since 1966. Good luck and good bye.
1. From reading your post you are definitely not a hater . I can only speak for myself but I would define a hater as someone that comes to a specific section of the forum and insults the poster personally and Tebow personally outside of a football discussion . It happens here every day. Also if you are a fan of another team other than the jets and you are not a fan of Tebow , yet you sign up here and post every single day on how much Tebow is no good , you are definitely a hater . I have posted a video of one of my favorite football players ( not just this thread) and have been called every name in the book . That is hating . 2. As far as Tebow playing a part in this horrible season , I would say everyone in the organization played a part , however he did keep Sanchez off the field for 80 snaps , so statiscaly he kept Sanchez turnovers off the board . As far as him throwing Sanchez off , Sanchez had his very worst games when Tebow did not even see the field , and he was also horrible last year , in fact he's been bad for 4 years so that is not an excuse . Sanchez just plain sucks with or without Tebow . Thank you for wishing Tebow and his fans luck, I do think you mean it which is a lot classier than most who post in this section of the board .
I support and watch as many Gators in the NFL and NBA as I can. But it's a good question. I'm not signing up on the Vikings or Patriots boards because of Harvin/Hernandez. I guess it's because Tebow is the best player we've ever had, and in the discussion for the greatest college football player of all time. You may have a recording artist that you like, but you don't have every one of their songs in your iPod. Same concept.
I never understood ardently following/supporting a college athlete unless he's your boy, but I guess collegiate success is acceptable. I never understood it myself though (screw cutler).
You seriously can't comprehend the concept, or you don't agree with it? I support my fellow alumni and hope they do well. Comes from pride in my alma mater. I don't see anything wrong with that. It doesn't mean that I think they are all future HOFers.
Man, Vanderbuilt is starting to look scary good. Right now they are the best SEC Football team in Tennessee and they have always given Florida fits, even in the Swamp. Right now I put them above UT, UK, and UM in the eastern division.
I get the second part of your statement. I root for certain players for reasons like that. I don't get the rooting for a player over a team or in a place of the team. The only time I get rooting for a player is in an individual sport beause well there are no teams. Like I root for Russell Westbrook to do well on the Thunder. I watch him when possible and hope he does well, but if push comes to shove 100% of the time I take success of the Knicks over success of him.
