Maybe for other positions, but for the QB position, late round players do not turn into good/great players all the time. It's actually kind of rare at the QB position, that's why Warner and Brady are the exceptions, not the rule
Who is McElroy going to throw the ball to that will make a play for him? Cumberland? Gates? Schillens? This offense is the worst I have ever seen. The only way McElroy has a decent completion percentage is if he takes a shitload of sacks. No one gets open and pass pro is mediocre at best.
Edwards for one? Cumberland is getting better. Schillens... If he's smart with the ball, he'll find open receivers and we'll be fine.
Your right, the jets are a great offensive team with a crappy qb. The OC makes great calls and everyone fears the running game. Edwards never go open in Seattle, but now he is going to save the jets.
Your post is invalid just for the use of Chaz Schillens having a good game. Open receiver? LOL Yeah and we're gonna win a super bowl.
Because he has terrible footwork. If he properly planted and threw like he was supposed to do his throws would not sail. If Cavanaugh werent the coach it would probably not be that bad. But, if my aunt had a dick she would be my uncle.
He has above average arm strength. A lot if the throws that seem to float are either him trying to be too perfect with a throw or bad footwork.
SOJ is saying that we would have won all the games we needed to and lose to Buffalo on a surprise onsides kick and lose by 1. What RedBronco is saying is absolutely positively 100% correct. If you actually think otherwise you're blind.
I don't think McElroy will be as bad as this fool says but just reading through his thread... K think there are going to be quite a few disappointed people. I don't think we will throw enough or deep enough down the field for McElroy to put up numbers. I think a little over 100 yards on efficient passing with a TD and a pick.
He threw an interception last time in a quarter and a half, but it was ne legatee by a bad penalty. The only way he completes over 60% is if he throws a lot of check downs, which means Powell has to be in the game, we completely run over SD, or he takes a bunch of sacks. This isn't even a knock on McElroy. The skill positions are this bad. I think SD comes out with more fire and Pride than the jets. The Jets had a stage on national tv and a playoff chance and quit. SD gets an early lead, and it snowballs from there.
I was almost right on the money, McElroy was actually quite a bit worse than I expected, absolutely horrible, like I said NOT an NFL QB, not even an NFL backup...
Have to say you were right on the money with your prediction. Talk abt taking sacks. All the damn hate Sanchez get is ridiculous, this offense is a joke.
