If only it could be that simple. At this point in my life, it's not a choice it's an addiction. As much as I often want to abandon the Jets I just can't do it. The most I can do is try to stay a bit more emotionally detached to the outcomes of these games. But root for another team??....Nope, I don't think it will ever happen.

The one time I played against the Jets - he started Tebow (friend tried mocking me) - I kicked his ass with the Bucs for that decision!

I have to admit if the Jets where to sign Vick it would be hard on me.

No, never. I will die a Jets fan.

And I find this poll question insulting, I almost puked when I read the thread title.

But I forgive you, one love people!

I've never understood this whole idea. How does one contrive enthusiasm out of nothingness?

My teams chose me. I had no control over it, and I still don't.

Lmfaoo. For real, I just can't play Madden with other teams, its just not fun for me. I can't even play with other shitty teams because when I play with the Jets I know that their my shitty team. I'm 11-0 right now with only the Jets. I just love playing the game with my team, love every player on the team.

Nope. Hypothetically if they left NY, it would be tough to keep on following them, but I wouldn't switch to another team.

Interesting, intelligent response. I'm a 312er so my $.02 doesn't mean too much here but I've been a Dodger fan all of my life. Even after the move to LA and them pulling out of Dodgertown in Vero Beach. However, when it comes to the NFL and the NBA I'm not keen on being a fan. There are too many thugs and thug wanna-bes. Many players with more money than common sense. I see way too much that I cannot condone both on and off the field.

    Just my personal $.02

No - what's the purpose? I am a Jets fan, through the good and bad. It has been interesting since '96.

If the Jets moved (and I mean really moved, like say CA instead of Brooklyn) - which isn't going to happen - I might have to think about it. Otherwise, no.

I've tried not to care, and to watch other teams, but I can't help myself.

I've seen all of the disasters and stupid moves over the years, and I keep hanging in there. I just can't get excited over any other team.

"Every time I try to get out, they keep pulling me back in."

If they sign Michael Vick, that could be a deal breaker, though.

If the Jets moved to Los Angeles, I'd become a Los Angeles Jets' fan.

For the two of you that voted yes.... Get the hell out and don't come back, EVER You don't change teams unless you marry into something else(minnimum 15 years), have kids who like somebody else, or you get taken so far outside of yoru teams sphere of influence that you take what you can get(IE the northpole) and for some ungodly reason you only get Jacksonville games. Otherwise I'm with Cman55 here, you take a break from actively following to a passive following. A good example of this was me and the Knicks during the Thomas era. He was so unrelentingly awful that I knew we were done until he was gone. We got rid of him and I came back, and every time I hear a rumor he might come back I look at my Knicks stuff sadly knowing that I'll put it away again if they bring that fool back aboard. Sometimes the bumblefuckery is just too much for even the most diehard to stay passionate about their team, but to quit them entirely, no.

No, stupidest thing I ever read. How can someone auction off their fanhood? You can't just will yourself to become a fan of another team any more than you can change your sexuality.
