Most likely a late rounder 5-7.

Jets sources say we will honor his request to release him but who knows , It would be the smart thing to do to trade him for a late rounder or a low level player for depth

Was his request to be released or to leave? And if that's true, what's one more "broken promise" to Tebow? TEAM.

I'd rather get SOMETHING for him if we can. Getting a 6/7th round pick wouldn't be bad at all.

Team first, Personally if the Jags owner wants Tebow then it would be at least a 5th, but no more than a 4th. If the Jets played hardball they could probably get a 4th for him considering thats what Jacksonville was willing to go last season and the Jets don't HAVE to trade Tebow or anything....

Also Tebow is worth way more money to the Jags than any other random 4th rounder that would probably be a bust anyway.

Source: Jaguars will 'at least consider' signing Tim Tebow if Jets RELEASE him

Khan needs to sell tickets and the QB position is essentially vacant, they will at least consider signing him to a multi-year contract...

You can't waste two picks on a guy and let him walk for nothing...at least see who is out there -- a 6th or a 7th - you need to get a pick back for the guy.

why would jacksonville trade for him. its obvious we will release him and its not like anyone was beating a path to denver when he was on the market last year.

nope 2 wasted picks, a year of unnecessary distraction and nothing to show for it is all we will get for tebow

Is there a team out there other than Jacksonville that would trade for Tebow? No. So why would they offer us anything? It's not like we're going to keep him for another year and go through this circus again. Cut our losses and move on.

Well, maybe the media will stop picking on us. I wish we can get SOMETHING for the trouble, but it wasn't meant to be.

The hope is some other team might be interested. Some teams have a hard on for the guy and think he is capable of more than he is. All you need is the rumor of another team to drag out a low end draft pick.

No other team besides the Jags were interested in him LAST year, and that was when his value was at its peak before the Jets turned him into the head clown this year.

thats the problem. he was on the market last year with his stock as high as it will ever be and us and jax were the only teams interested.

now we don't want him and he hasn't done anything. who else but the hometown team looking for a spike in ticket sales is going to show any sort of interest?

You can hope all you want but reality says there is no other team. Only Jacksonville. Why would Tebow want to go someplace other than Jax when he can compete for the starting job there? Plus, he's actually wanted by a lot of their fans. No other team can offer Tebow a guaranteed QB competition plus fan support. Unless some team gives him a guarantee that he will be the starter, you're trading a pick for an unhappy player. Yes you can say he would have no choice, but it doesn't work that way at such an important position.

Maybe a Henne trade or a late pick? About all we can hope for at this point.

The Jets more specifically Tanny is an expert at waiting until a player has no value before trading him. First Wayne Hunter and now Tebow. Sanchez will be next but I'd hold on to him a little longer he still has some value. I still think he won't hit rock bottom until next year. Buy high and sell low.

Regardless I'll be happy to see Tebow go but he should never have been here in the first place.

Give us Dwight Lowery back for Tebow.
