So U PROTEST. If U do not how U DO NOT renew your ST. If enough people do that then Woody will see the forest from the trees as I am sure he does not want his franchise to be a losing business. BTW I find your reply about your renewal totally inane to say the least
That is totally not true. I was one of the NJites that made the trek to EVERY game when they played @ Shea. When they moved to the NJ I expected the Queens/LIers to do what I did in the reverse so if you are correct they were not as loyal NYJ fans as you think. May I also caution U that you should not generalize like you did in your post.
Obviously, I meant most fans, not all. I am keeping my ST's as long as I alive. What's so hard to understand. I am a loyal fan and I love live football and being with my friends. As a ticket broker yourself, why don't you take the lead and not renew not that it would matter to Woody. He only cares about the Upper deck so the place does not look empty and we don't get blacked out. The 10k+ PSL's is what is keeping him up at night. Champ, have a great holiday and the best to you and yours. Are differences are nothing personal on my end, I love to argue. Ask my wife, she says shit, I say piss.
Going from NJ to Shea which I did is against traffic so its not apples to apples. It was an easy drive to and from every week. I am as loyal as they come. If it took me 2-4 hrs. to drive 30 miles to get home after a game, I would be done. I felt sorry for those people and never questioned there loyalty.
It should be so much easier than this even in jersey. That train to the game is a complete fucking joke. If you want to leave from New York Penn, you have to get off at secaucus, walk down a huge hallway, down a couple flights of stairs, and push your way through the platform to catch another train that usually takes forvever to leave. Then that dumbass train snakes through the swamplands at 2.1 miles per hour and if that wasn't bad enough the metlife platform only has one entrance/exit all the way at the very end where you get stampeded like the cattle you've become. And that's not even leaving from Queens or Long Island
The stadium on the West side of Manhattan would have been the best compromise for the Jets fan base in regards to location. Also, it would look better because it would be designed for one team. To bad the dirty, slimy political crooks who worked for the piece of shit Dolan F'ed Woody and Blomberg and blocked the project. Damm shame.
I realize that the organization wanted the west side stadium,,,,but having NO plan B was about as a good a decision as bringing Tebow in ! I mean queens wants them in the worst way and there is oceans f room out there but instead Woody and company decide that it would be a great idea to stay in the Giants shadow and once again share a stadium with the G men ! What did the book say when they sent it to us " we finally have a stadium of our own ". YEAH RITE !
H'mm & that drive home after the game waiting to go thru the tunnel or bridge was a happy experience? It is the same both ways so those Queens/LIers who deserted the NYJs are unloyal to them not that means anything. I have said over & over again that I keep the tix because of long term relations I have with the renters & if they departed for greener pastures I would give them up in a heartbeat or less even. So I guess your r "second" family as you posted & I with my old NJ relationships are exactly the same except in my case happily not one dime OF MY MONEY is going to the present owner of the NYJs where as in your case your money is to him to see garbage play.
You are incredible. You can never just leave it alone. Yeah Champ, there was not traffic heading to NJ on the Tri-boro and GW after the game unlike heading into NY after the game. I admired any LI who attempted to stay a STH. Those were our real fans. We miss them, NJ Jet fans ain't the same.
H'mm then what was I stuck on in on the Triboro/Cross Bronx Expway & GW Bridge? May be it was the end of the world? Doubt that so it had to be many, many, many autos wanting to get from the NY side to the NJ side. Again those LIers & Queensites who bailed were closet NYJ fans not over the top NYJ fans like U & me
I made that trip to Shea many times and it was no picnic. Was there the day OJ Simpson ran all over us and broke 2,000 yards. We went by train sometimes, which I think is much worse than driving. You come home sobering up, wet as hell, and people smoked on the trains in those days. So the whole car is wet and smoky and you're chilled to the bone, wet, tired, half in the bag, nauseous and the whole day shot. And of course, in the good old days, we didn't have the internet and this message board. So we all suffered in silence with no outlet like this to vent our frustrations. I don't think the WSS would have worked... that is just my opinion. If you think ticket prices are ridiculous now, they wouldn't compare to what they would have to charge for that ridiculously expensive real estate, construction costs, maintenance costs and personnel expenses. JMHO. In theory, the "shared" stadium was the best concept and was billed and sold to everyone as the most cost efficient stadium. In fact, there was talk that perhaps PSLs would not be necessary. I was ecstatic when they chose this option because I envisioned, with my seniority, getting some really decent seats in the Mezz, like I had before (only maybe better). Liitle did I know the lying little momma's-boy Woody would turn out to be such a snake and turn on his loyal fans like a python. He fucked over his old-time STHers real good and now he deserves everything that's coming to him. This is going to get real ugly and real embarrassing for him before it gets any better. We are talking years... perhaps a decade... before he will win back the hearts and minds (if ever). his only hope is to cultivate the newbies like he's been doing, but they are fickle snakes too - turn on you and bite you in a heartbeat. So now the little snake got what he wanted and he's in a snakepit with all the others. You gotta love it. What a fucking mess he's made for himself.
Sorry I disagree with U. If you choose to folk over the PSL dollars for Mezz seats then U could have easily secured them but U decided to pass on the PSL which then limited U to the UD
The drive from NY to NJ after a game is better then the drive from NJ to NY after a game , its not even close. You can't agree with anybody or anything. You are a impossible human being. Your wife, if she is still alive, deserves the Nobel prize.
Where are the stats to back up your post? I think your blind love of the NYJs also clouds your brain in normal aspects of life I think U ought to read 227 post #16251 also
ok let me try and get things back on track. who is planning to renew for next year? who is not? and does the decisions on qb, hc and gm weigh at all on your decision to renew or not. also is there anyone that truly is thinking about walking away from the psl? i know we have heard of a few people that were talking about it but that was right after games that probably had them fired up.
man I wish I was in NY today, coaches club tickets down to $185. I'd be all over that, I don't know that prices will go much lower but I guess anything can happen today. Everybody got their #6 Buttfumble jerseys ready??
1315 tickets left upper ez 34.98 upper sl 30.00 upper pr 39.00 lower ez 48.00 lower gl 60.00 lower sl 88.24 club prime 115.00 club sl 84.00 coach club 165.00 great hall cl 135.00 lower prime 80.00 jesus thats crazy.
$135 coaches club, lol. Those are $700 tickets http://www.stubhub.com/new-york-jets-tickets/jets-vs-chargers-metlife-stadium-4076030/
that is just fucking crazy. it looked empty there from the start today. can any of you guys tell us the percentage of the empties to full seats?
It looked surprisingly crowded at the start of the game but about 1/4 full by the start of the 3rd. qtr. Good riddance 2012 NYJ's. Lets hope Rex goes with the rest of the coaching staff and skips out of town. If Rex was smart, he would do a Herm and negotiate a trade out of here . His Postgame was bizarre to say the least. Something is going on that we don't know about. It should be interesting once the season ends on what Woody says and does.
