    short passing game. lots of slants and check downs. maybe 1 pass over the top to gates.
    most importantly he will be 70% on 3rd down

    hard to predict because this coaching staff has shown it doesn't trust its own players to test out their full potential. They'll probably make McElroy hand off 9 out of 10 snaps to run up the middle

    Semi-interesting stat spread on SD's pass D. In total yardage, they rank 20th, but in ypa, they are 13th, which is not bad.

    The Jets will run a run oriented attack, and if they get ahead, they will run it even more. Hard to see them passing more than low twenties in attempts unless they really get behind.

    I don't expect McElroy to get a lot of chances... it will be unbalanced run heavy due to Rex's lack of trust in McElroy AND the QB position in general right now.

    Still, I think McElroy will make a few plays and likely one dopey play as young players usually do.

    Chargers D is pretty bad against the pass, particularly bad at both getting to the QB and making picks.
