It's a damned shame that it's come to this. I never thought I'd see PSLers talking this way. I always knew there was a chance people would become disgruntled, but to actually read a post from a PSL guy talking about walking away is mind-blowing.

But yeah, I hear you and we're all in the same boat actually... the only difference being the PSL guys have a little more on the table than we do in the UD. But it's "only money" as they say, and sometimes you are better off cutting the losses than getting killed shelling out over 10 grand year after year.

The Sanchez cap/contract hell is what really, really bothers me. Over 8 mill next year guaranteed... WTF? We draft this guy with 16 games under his belt and give him all this money and now we're fucked but good.

Honestly, Even upper deck people and club owners. When I look on stubhub at my tickets going for $40 face is 125, and Upper deck going for $35 and coaches club going for $200.....SOMETHING is wrong.

Either the price of the tickets are very wrong or the team just sucks or both! We all know that chargers game means NOTHING but it has been this way all season. I have waited till day of game and picked up Metlife club/great hall club for 35-100 each game. That is still lower than my regular lower level endzone ticket at $125 of being a season ticket holder.

There is no benefit at all. I would NOT be surprised if alot and I mean ALOT of people upper deck, PSL all over bailed after this year. Now im not talking corporate and business tickets im talking about your average person.

There is no point and every week Fume knowing that im hear paid 1250 for season tickets plus psl and they are selling for 20-50 bucks......I want to cry on 8 tickets lol. (Upper deck people feel same way just minus the PSL) I know they will never lower the price of tickets but alot of people will be bailing this year.

We will see what happens in the off season but this will be heavily discussed come renewal time in April-June.

    Happy Holidays to everyone!

Well the Jets did kill most of their attending fan base in the move to the new place with the PSL requirements and "market" face values. The mass exodus actually happened in the last year at Giants stadium when decades old tenured fans walked away from their seats rather than be forced to pay through the nose for PSLs. In 2009 as a first time ticket holder I was able to get 4 seats in the lowers at $80 face value with no preseason games and also front row seats directly on ticketmaster against the Patriots. The fanbase has never been the same since

We talked about this ad nauseum for years and predicted what would happen if the bloom came off the rose. And it did. Everything was Hunky fucking Dory with the Rex hiring and "We're going to kick their ass and go to the superbowl." Reach for a Californication GQ Quarterback and give him millions and we get to two P/O appearances. Now the fucking sky is the limit as to how hard you can stick it to the loyal STHers from years gone by.

So you go for the gold and fuck over the seniority people while accomodating fickle fucking newbies. And everything is Peachy fucking Keen as long as we are winning.

But then the bottom drops out. And has it ever. 8-8 last year and El Guappo stinks up the field big time in the last 4 games. Oh well... let's play him again this year until we're on the cusp of being eliminated from the P/Os. And then we pull him and insert GMAC for one fucking game. But then it's back to El Guappo, with the P/Os on the line. And we get the same fumbles, shitty timing, short balls, long balls, ball batted down, staring at the receiver. Did Rex think this was going to be any other QB than we previewed in the last 4 games of last season?

So here we are now. And we are fucked really good now. And yes, if anyone thinks the defections from the Upper Deck were bad last year, they haven't seen anything yet. There remains ONE saving possibility... that GMAC comes out and looks like the Second Coming of Christ. That MAY save some of the defections, but I even doubt that.

So yes, we haven't seen anything yet. People with expensive seats find themselves laughing stocks at their annual Christmas party. The mocking will be so hurtful they'll question their own sanity even, for ever thinking a PSL was a good idea in the first place. Corporate owners of blocks of seats will be ashamed to offer them to clients as a perk. "This is a joke, right?"... they'll hear. "You're taking care of me for all the business I gave you this year by handing me 4 seats to a Jets game? WTF is this? You can't be fucking serious."

I mean, the ridicule is endless. Defections after the year is finally (and mercifully) over? You bet your ass.

Knowing that U cannot see the forest from the trees when it comes to the NYJs U ought to give just a teeny/weeny thought that at the least for the next 5 years but more likely 7/10 years to rebuild a contender which means U will pissing away at the least 5Gs

Champ, been through this more then once. Can anything be worse then the Kotite years? Pick your nose Joe? Freaking Bruce Coslet? If I don't go, I won't see my friends anymore, we all get together for Jet games for the most part. Its my other family. I am not giving that up, not for $1,000. Its not much $ and live 15 miles from the stadium. I love tailgating. If it gets real bad next year, I will stay home against crappy teams or bad weather. It does suck though, since 1981, not one, not even a sniff at a home Championship game never mind a Super bowl . I am going to die without one, I knew it after the Steeler loss 2 years ago. SOB. I feel depressed this week, its gonna be tough rooting for this team because in order to fix it we are going to have to blow it up. Not sure if Woody has the balls ( see 227 post above)

what can they possibly do to justify the prices this year. after not raising the rates last year will they be forced to drop the price? i mean jesus its a fucking catastrophe and woody and his boys deserve every bit of it.

maybe just maybe 5 years from now we might have a stadium filled with real long time jets fans again. instead of the bunch of douchebags he forced on you guys the past few years. maybe just maybe he wakes up.

Long time Jet fans are gone forever, those people are not coming back. Besides, a couple years after moving from Queens we started to lose our real long time fans because the trip back to Queens/LI is impossible. The new place started on the NJ people. I hear once you let go, life on the other side is not that bad. Supposedly, they show home games on TV, not sure its in color, but hey, its free. Man, Woody must be crapping in his pants. Obama is going after him and his buddies and he's going to lose his ass with the Jets fan base. Good time for the Woodster.

Woody's not crapping his pants at all. All the real NFL money is in TV/Media contracts and branding these days. There's enough home revenue to pay down the stadium debt and make a good profit, he just won't be making a fortune like he thought he would. Don't cry for him though, an NFL franchise's value (in NYC metro no less) keeps going through the roof every year

They explain to me why we didn't go after FA's like we have in the past? We had the cap space. I don't care how much $ he got from TV, he was counting on X number of $'s from PSL's and UD'ers to pay down the debt and in 2012 he did not reach that number. These rich greedy never enough bastards are people that want more, its never enough. Dark days ahead.

Yeah, that'll be interesting. We call and tell them we want lower rows and it'll be the SOS... "nothing available." In the meantime, a newbie can call and tell them he wants to be close to the rail or he won't buy and right away something's available.

It'll be the same old game again. Keep you in your present seats and try to fill up in front and behind. Nothing but a bunch of cock suckers.

I don't know much about Woody's revenue vs. expenses, but I do know embarrassment when I see it. He's charging WAY more than actual market price (see StubHub) and that's not going to fly. People reach a point where they feel ridiculous, spending this kind of money for 10 games, 2 of which are totally worthless. Something's going to give next year big time.

If Woody isn't experiencing financial woes he sure as hell ought to be concerned about what this franchise looks like to the outside world. You have mainstream broadcasters and talking heads (I'm not talking about sportscasters, I'm talking about regular announcers on mainstream moring channels), guys like Joe Scarborough on Morning Joe. Usually political commentary mostly, but eve he was laughing his ass off at the pathetic Jets. Even he is saying, "So why did you bring in Tim Tebow?" And the other guy answers him, "Because it was a marketing ploy." Read between the lines... a stunt to move the fucked up PSLs and try to fill the upper deck.

So even the mainstreamers are on to his utterly desperate bullshit and now we really don't have a QB and everybody else is getting older by the minute. Like 314 says, the only way to fix this team is to blow it up. Just fucking embarrassing. Woody should be ashamed of himself for putting his ticket sales ahead of building a winning team. Wrong strategy and a terrible business model and it's going to backfire in his face when the remainder of what's left of his old time fan base (and there aren't that many of us anymore) head for the exits really pissed. I pay over $5,000 every year for garbage on the field, and $1,000 of the $5,000 is for "Preseason Games." Are you fucking klidding?
