If it walks like a duck, flaps like a duck and quacks like a duck, it probably is a duck. Wouldn't you think so?
last years jets defense was very good. first, you have to adjust points per game by removing the pick 6's and fumbles that went for 6. as those were allowed by the offense, and we had a ton of them. second, if you look deeper and go points allowed per possesion, the jets were top 5. the only reason overall the D looks bad is because we turned it over so much and punted so much that teams got a ton of chances to score on us
Both of them signed to 5 years and 50+ million last year and both at high risk of getting dumped moving forward. The Fitzpatrick deal BTW is the classic example of why teams don't hand their starting QB job to a 7th round pick. It takes the guy a few years to get on the field through a lucky break and then what if he has his best season that year or the next? Do you sign him to a huge deal or accept the fact that he has 7th round talent and what you just saw was the ceiling and unlikely to get better? If you're going to lock up a guy with a huge deal he has to be the guy you're going to live or die with. Tannenbaum took the plunge and it may well cost him his job.
the difference between Sanchez and Fitzpatrick is that one of them had real talent and potential that was evident before even being drafted it's reprehensible what this franchise has done to Sanchez in term of his development. No wonder the jets haven't won anything in 40 years.
But the Jets moved up to grab Sanchez whereas the Bills drafted Ivypatrick in the 7th. Sanchez is a weird mix of Fitzpatrick and JP Losman. Man, I need to stop posting and lie down, this trip down Bills recent QB memory lane has made me nauseous.....
Mark Sanchez has been in an uphill and losing battle all through 2012. And he knew it the whole time. Sadly, a few week ago, it seems like he gave up. Too bad.
Actually there were times last season where he looked lost. It's amazing how Tannenbum ignored this and instead gave him a huge guaranteed contract in the off season. He should be fired today.
The Bills didn't draft Fitzpatrick... Although the JP Losman comparison isn't that far off with Sanchez, actually. Both guys have an uncanny knack for turning the ball over to d-linemen.
Sanchez sucks... There is no difference between Jamarcus Russell, Ryan leaf, Sanchez. They didn't develop into the players they wanted to be and only unsuccessful people points the finger and make excuses. It's stupid to say what if he got another QB coach or if he was on a better them. It doesn't matter. That's the difference between the top QBs and everyone else. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Actually, the difference between Fitzpatrick and Sanchez is that the Bills aren't tied to his contract and the Jets are. Plus he's not as embarrassing.
Well it's clear he wasn't looking at Brandon Moore's ass. That should make Moore feel a bit better when he remembers Sanchez down the road.
