You guys are being too cynical claiming the Jets just brought him in to sell PSL's. Isn't it entirely possible he got here and they all just realized he sucks?
Better for Tebow & the Jets for them to part ways. He's never gonna get a chance to start & the coaching staff never wanted him on the team. Despite all the headlines & media drama he's never said anything to stir controversy himself.
Hes been completely mistreated, I hope for his sake, a coach believes in him and ties there job to his performance. Obviously its risky and thats why no one has stepped up. I think with Mcdaniels back in New England, the Patriots take him.
No, that's not possible, because they never gave him a chance to play. It's idiocy to claim to know for sure what someone would do, people can only speculate, and we've all seen how good Mike T's speculation has been.
They watch him practice and if he sucks how can they throw him into a professional football game? They certainly have more of an idea of what he would give the Jets than we do.
Haven't all jets fans learned to take these types of anonymous (no sources ) reports with a grain of salt? I doubt Tebow has told anyone in the jets he wants a trade. Its pure speculation and like I said no sources are mentioned.
its a goddamn shame what these fuck tards who are in control in florham park did to this guy. he did waste an entire year of his career with this organization. and i honestly feel bad for him. out dipshit coach, gm and owner fucked this guy like he has never been fucked before... oh wait.... he has never been fucked before.
I think Tebow is a below average QB, but I hope he can get his career back on track, and if the Jets did lie to him, shame on them. Say what you want about Tebow the QB, but he has been nothing but class during his time here.
he could been better tho. if he told the coach something like "no I don't deserve to go in, I don't want to disturb Mark's rhythm, let Sanchez play" when they called his name. then he would gotten huge props and respect from me
Despite what Tannenbaum said the Tebow trade didn't make football sense. And his subsequent use or lack of use made even less sense. No real shock he would want to be traded. Although I can't really think of who would want him. We might have to throw in a draft pick to convince a team to take him off our hands. lol
To be a Christian, Tebow sure gets fucked in the ass a lot. I feel bad for him. This piece of shit organization really did him wrong. In a way I'm sorry we drug this poor guy through the mud with us. Also, fuck you Sanchez, you goddamn loser
I think theoretically speaking the move made sense. The Jets have really missed Brad Smith's ability to move the chains as an all purpose player since his departure. They believed Tebow could be a similar type of weapon while also filling in as the long term answer at 2nd string QB & would save the Jets a roster spot or 2. They downplayed the magnitude of the media's Tebow obsession & thought the hype would play as a wildcard for the opposition to prepare for during the week. Here's where they went wrong. 1. Mike Tannenbaum referred to Tebow as a "dynamic talent". Sorry..as a ball carrier, he's nothing special. Average burst & decent explosion. He's not on the same level that Brad Smith was. Not the same speed, route running ability or quickness to the hole. Whose ever scouting report in the organization Tannenbaum quotated that from should be fired. 2. It's 2012...not 2009. Jets need to stop looking back at the Rex "Glory days" for personnel inspiration & start looking around the NFL. Brad Smith is a unique talent & he's in Buffalo for at least 2 more years. Not to mention those glory day offenses were never dynamic in the passing game. Many of us felt that if the Jets could keep that skill group w/ Sanchez..that we MAY see very special things. But those things never occurred. Time to move on. The NFL skill positions have become about Speed, size & explosion. Jets now need to think of new ways to succeed. Stop looking back at the past.
Quoted, so you can't delete it. Not saying that the Tebow experiment wasn't a distraction, but the "#1 reason the Jets failed?" You must not watch the games, pay attention to the injury reports, or read headlines at all. By the way, I don't think you can get any more humble than being asked to play personal punt protector and never complaining.
