am i the only person that thinks we can actually make some noise in the playoffs...i mean i know we had some real ugly loses...(ne,sf...the worst being mia imo) but we hung in there against hou,ne,pitt....we gave indy the beat down...i mean were one or two plays away from controlling our own destiny right now and looking at a 10-6 or even 11-5 record. i know its been real ugly at times....but thats the nfl...ups and downs. i think bray makes in impact even if he doesnt catch alot of passes it gives the defense someone to think about. this is greenes time of year. the defense has been good enough to win all year...all im saying is if we get in it will be a mistake for any team to over look the new york jets.

Actually this is why I kinda want Indy to make the playoffs too just in case there's a scenario where we get to play them in round one!!!
Impossible unfortunately. I think hypothetically if we make it, we could take NE and HOU. I think we would get wiped in DEN but I think HOU isn't explosive enough and NE REX will get the team up enough to make it competitive so who knows. Oh and BAL I guess if we go there, they look ripe for the picking
I'd prefer to go to Baltimore or Houston in round one. If we have to play the Ravens, it would be first TD wins. Although the Ravens D is not nearly as good as it's been in the past.

Definitely agree. But I mean we still have to get there, but speculate while we can. I do think if we get in, it means we established the run game and defense is holding their bargain so that can win you playoff games.
guys stop planning a playoff run. lets get into the playoffs first. One game at a time. It'll save a lot of grief if we don't make it. It's still about 50/50 IMO.
I get being disappointed/upset at how this season has gone, although you probably had green coloured glasses on if you thought they were going to be really good (Although I did pick them for 11-5). As the loss thread points out, most of our losses were against good, playoff teams with the exception of the awful Miami loss and of course the Houston and NE 1 losses were frustrating, but good omens. However, what I don't get is writing off the season. Are you kidding me?! Yeah, if the Jets get in, do they have much of a chance of going all the way? No. But they have a better chance than 20 other teams. Anyways, had to get that off my chest. I really think that if the Jets win out, then they make it. One of these other teams will slip up, probably Bengals in week 17. Just hope they win next week. If Jets win out, Sports Club Stats has them in the playoffs in more than half the scenarios.
Current Playoff Scenarios If Colts go 0-2 we are in. If Colts go 1-1 or 2-0: If Bengals win Sunday, Bengals must lose week 17 If Steelers win Sunday, Steelers must lose week 17
