In my eyes it's Colts, Bengals, Steelers. If Kansas City can find a way to beat the Colts, we are in VERY good shape. Once that happens, the AFC North does not matter at all.

im more worried about the bengals...the steelers are going to fall off i assure you (by assure you obviously just my opinion)...the bengals while ranked 7th right now and also in the hunt, are more of a threat to the jets at the end the of day.

Benglas loss tonight and steelers loss next week and away we go.

I think this year is proving that we're a few offensive players away from being a top 5-10 team. No need to blow it up, we just need consistency on the offensive side of the ball. Even with Tone healthy we're lacking a big play threat, and Shonn & Bilal are effective but way too redundant (read: not explosive enough) if we want to have a run-first offense.

Actually, of all the games remaining for the Bengals, Steelers and Colts, this is least important one.

Put down the homer juice. This team is terrible and the defense needs tons of help. We might have the slowest backers in the league. Ours S's can't cover and we have no pass rush.

The offense needs a new QB , Rb , WR , few olinemen , another te and a new oc. That's about 5 years away. We need to draft well. Something we haven't done. Also bring in the right fas for the right price. Then a new oc and give him time to establish a new identity.

Imo we need to get rid of the big three. Either way its years away. Were not 1-2 players away. This board is big circle jerk tell each other Sancheeze is the guy.

Are you watching the same thing we are? LOL

Our defense is 8th in the league right now

If we get a QB, we are 1 player away, problem is there aren't any big FA QBs (rarely are) and no transcendent stars in the upcoming drafts either. That's the problem.

And to your last point, exactly what are you reading on this baord where you think people think Sanchez is the guy? We have the discussion in almost thread and the end result is always the same, Sanchez sucks but we owe him a lot of money next year and he will unfortunately be here

I disagree. I don't think the passing Colts is a viable way into the playoffs. If the Bengals win tonight and beat Pitt like we need, they would only need to beat a Baltimore team that may rest their starters Week 17 to edge us out of the 6 seed.

If the Bengals lose this game, they cannot finish ahead of us as long as we win out (which we need to do anyway) therefore they'd be eliminated for our purposes.

EDIT: Also the Bengals may come out stronger next week vs. Pitt with their backs against the wall

I keep saying this... Bengals can beat us out if they lose to the Eagles and beat their division rivals, Steelers and Ravens. At that point, it comes down to Strength of Victory. It's very very close on that front if it comes down to that scenario.

True I didn't realize that. I'd still take an Eagles win.

I'm under the impression we want Philly to win here. Right?

With Murray back - most certainly.

    I see Dallas beating Pitt.

Looking at the playoff generator, we tie with Cincy and we are NOT in. Can someone else try it out to double check me? So that means we need PITT and CIN to lose 2/3

    Yes.

The best we can hope for is to wake up Tuesday morning in a three way tie at 7-7. This is the first step. If the Colts lose in Houston that would be a bonus.

    We need:

Cincy to lose a conference game
    Pitt to lose 2/3
