Im not back pedaling on anything, nor did I say the wrong thing. Just because the play calling has changed, that doesn't take away from the fact that Sanchez and Edwards have a strong conection with each other. You can go through a million OC's, but that connection will always remain. Just as Sanchez said yesterday, he "trusts" throwing the ball to him. That's something you can not take away. And no matter the OC, Edwards still has to run his routes and make his blocks. If a QB has faith in that WR, then he flourishes. Like I said originally, Edwards developed a rapore with Sanchez. He didn't get to do that with Alex Smith or Russel Wilson, hence why he didn't function in those systems.

When he was with the 49ers, he could barely stay on the field -- thats why his production was so low with them. Also - I haven't seen many people bring this up, but the run game with Edwards should definitely improve as well. Edwards was a tremendous blocker on the outside for us back in the day.

I think the team is going to play leaps and bounds better just having him around. His positive attitude seems infectious.
While I'm glad he's happy to be here and his team is happy to have him back, really, unless he goes out and performs on the field I couldn't care less if he was giving them hugs, beejers or trying to kill them in their sleep. I hope he goes out there and rocks it, I just don't want people to get their hopes up. He might not even play all that many snaps if he's still got a lingering injury, cleared or not.
This is gonna be great. I can just feel it. The guy brings so much to this team. They really should have never let him go, but hey, he's back. Better late than never
