Here was the near circus-like catch Braylon got 2 weeks ago, that in my opinion shouldn't have been overturned. I think he still has something left in the tank http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/0ap2000000103985/Braylon-Edwards-touchdown-overturned
Why can't some people fuckin understand that some players just don't do well in another team's offense. It has happened time and time again in history. Edwards flourished in our system and just wasn't a major role in Seattle and San Fran. Some of you are incredible. Like fuckin women man. You are never happy
I'm delighted to see Braylon back - one of my favourite Jets from the two runs in 2009 and 2010. My concerns are: 1 - will he be fit enough to contribute this season? 2 - will we keep him for next season (assuming he is healthy)?
Blocking and getting plays down the field was what Braylon was best at. He fits Sparano's system pretty well.
System meaning this organization. Our head coach is the same and the quarterback is the same. The only thing that changed was the Offensive Coordinator. Edwards didnt function with Alex Smith nor Russel Wilson. Not to mention his injury hindered any sort of relationship he could try and develop with Wilson. For some odd reason, Sanchez and Edwards clicked. It's that simple. Like I said, he just didn't function in another teams system
you do realize that the offense we currently run has nothing to do with the offense we ran in 09 and 10? you do realize that we had an offensive coordinator named brian schottenheimer then and now have a guy named tony sporano? you do realize that the only things that are the same about he jets from then till now is the qb and head coach? shit its even a different stadium than it was in 09. so explain to me sweetheart how exactly the fuck what you are saying makes sense? or are you just looking for a reason to shit on people who actually realize the things i posted above?
ok well i see you answered my previous question above.... you are aware that the offensive coordinator runs his very own offense, or do you think that rex is the mastermind of the offensive game plan? you realize that when the offensive coordinator changes all of the plays and terminology and assignments typically change? just admit you misspoke and move on. it happens, i do it often. trust me its alot easier than trying to backpedal and change your story simply because you were wrong.
Welcome Back! I have to say I love everything about bringing Braylon back! NEVER should have let him go in the first place.... The guy was Sanchez's boy 2 years ago. (apparently still is!)
I don't get how anybody could possibly be upset. Braylon may not be the same anymore but it's not like we're taking Jerry Rice off the field to play him. God forbid he takes snaps away from Clyde Gates.
I know this isn't the "hate Sanchez thread" however... I don't think the plays Mark is allowed are all that elaborate or numerous. Brays job will be to run down field, catch the ball.
The people that are upset about it obvioulsy haven't been watching our receivers run aimless routes and fail to get open on just about every snap While long term the organization need to address this position weakness, there's no reason to be upset about picking Braylon up and rendering one of the other stooges inactive. As unproductive as he's been since he left, he's better than what we currently have.......easily, even not at 100%.
Pretty much. Personally I'm not convinced BE will contribute much but it's a "what's the worst that can happen" type scenario. Worst case scenario: he is injured and doesn't play and we continue with our current crappy set of WRs. Best scenario: he helps us win a few games and maybe, possibly squeak into the playoffs. Bonus scenario: he shows that he's not done and we bring him back next season and have a WR core of Holmes, Edwards, Hill and Kerley to start the season (assuming all are healthy). That's not exactly the best in the league but it's better than Kerley, Gates, Schilens and Gilyard which is what we have right now due to injuries.
