I'm far from an Edwards fan, but i agree it's a good move with all the injuries we have at receiver. With the extended week he gets extra time to get up to speed as well. As another poster said at the least it shows we have not thrown in the towel on the season.

No reason not to like this move.

Even if he stinks up the stadium, he is still better than Gates or Gillyard.

Plus, I'll never forget my 3 favorite B.E. plays:

#1 - The catch on the sideline against Indy in the playoffs to set up the GWFG
#2 - The beast TD against the Pats the same year with 2 guys trying to tackle him
#3 - That catch down the sideline against HOU when it looked like the game was over

    Welcome Back 17

Wow. After the twitter comments & injury problems after leaving the Jets I thought this couldn't happen. Hopefully, this move will bring out success for both Braylon & Sanchez.

Their is literally no downside to this move. People complaining about it are doing nothing but complaining for the sake of complaining. waaaaaaaah

That was really nice video. Gotta admit it brought back a lot of good memories & has me thinking very positive. After falling to the darkside concerning the Jets & the QB drama I'm starting to see some sunshine right now.

Did you read Dick Cimini's analysis of the move? Hysterical.

I think Edwards is a drunk and an idiot w/numerous off field issues who is lucky that he's still alive, much less that he's rec'd numerous second chances. I also think his knee is almost done and that he's likely to bust a wheel at any moment, but hopefully I'm wrong and he can help the Jets beat the Titans.

    hehe this is fun..

guy calls the fo morons just a week or so ago.

seattle finally says wtf are we paying this guy for? we are better off to pay him to go somewhere else.

    jets sign him.

its just another week at the circus.

i bet he goes for 60 yards this week. jets win and the entire organization is set back 2 years because we obviously havent given up, or realized what a fucking hot mess it all really is.

Even with all of them I still want another top reciver, Like a Danny Amendola or Josh Cribbs , Cribbs is the deep threat with the kind of speed we don't have ,Holmes,Edwards,Cribbs,Kerley,Hill, and whoever else

He hasn't been in any trouble with the law since his DUI in September of 2010... This idea that he's constantly getting in trouble has no substance behind it

Damned if we do, damned if we don't. If we had signed Joe nobody from the streets, Rich would be saying that the Jets management has too much pride to sign someone who called them idiots. They are simply throwing their season away.

Hell, Rex could cure cancer and Rich would say it was for publicity.

This move makes me happy and the Jets haven't made me very happy this year. I still believe that the Jets made a mistake in letting Edwards go, and I think Edwards will be in the best position to succeed with us right now and I think that is our advantage. He will play with a chip on his shoulder and he is going to have chemistry instantly with Sanchez.

This was a great move. I hope it pans out!

Before everybody gets too excited isn't it still the same guy doing the passing here?

So long as he's better than Mardy Gilyard he's an upgrade to our severely depleted WR corps. The Jets don't need him for 3 years, they need him for 3 games and if everything breaks right, possibly a playoff run.

Besides, he's not that bad of a guy. At least he doesn't abandon his team during training camp to drink beer at the olympics.

These are my favorite 3 as well, great post. I do remember him dragging Miami players into the end zone, so that'll come in 4th.
