Go back and look at the stupid shit McCoy was calling against the Pats. Belichick schooled him badly.

Didn't the Pats set some kind of record for tackles for loss (or something like that) in that game?

They probably did seeing as how then spent almost as much time in the Denver backfield as any of the Broncos did.

That called 9 men in the boxs daring Tebow to throw.
No team does that against RG3,Cam,Caep.

No quarterback's running style serves them well in the long run. Why do you think that running quarterbacks are such a rarity? Show me one running quarterback in the modern era that, without learning how to thrive in the pocket over running, had a long and healthy career.

McNair? His body was dead by 30, and he was built like a brick shit house. He was constantly injured.
McNabb? Completely run down by 31.
Vick? He hasn't finished a season without injury since before he went to prison, and he becomes more and more fragile every year.

If RGIII doesn't dial back his running and risk taking, he will be just another Michael Vick, and plagued with injuries for the rest of his career. If you think Tim Tebow or Cam Newton are any different just because they are bigger and stronger, there are some serious reality checks coming their way.

There is a reason why running backs, and high-contact players in general, have the shortest careers of any professional sport, averaging less than 3 years...

Vick was injury prone even before prison.

Tebow and Newton are bigger, but there is a reason not too many big running backs have long careers anymore. Most of them are considered old and broken by the time they reach 30... IF their career goes that far.

Tebow and Newton are heading in that direction. I've heard coaches in interviews say they teach their players to treat Tebow like a fullback when making a tackle. He's just too damn big to treat like a normal QB. That means bigger hits. When Tebow tucks the ball in and runs, he's not going to get treated by the refs like a QB either, so he's gonna get hit like a RB or a FB on a regular basis. (That and getting him to slide or throw the ball away is like pulling teeth.)

Tebow has already had similar injuries to this current one. He did in the preseason during his rookie year when he took that shot against Cincinatti. Sidelined him for 3 weeks. He had a similar one in the third quarter in the Patriots playoff game too. As many sacks as he takes, it's gonna take a toll.

His career probably won't last taking hits like that. Though... that's assuming he is able to get off the bench for any length of time. The toll on his body should be minimal with just 4 plays per game.

The amount of hate on this forum is funny. Anyways watching this read option PLUS play action bomb stuff is fun, really exciting football.

Huge credit goes to the shannahans and what they are doing with rg III.

Running alot of pistol formation so your still in your qbs comfort zone and can run college stuff, but can still run traditional stuff is working wonders for them.

RG III is with out a doubt alot better then Tim, but I think this type of offensive scheme would be a huge benefit to him.

9er's - last 4 games? 3-1 is not so bad. They look alot better with Kap in then Alex.

Wash - if your a top 5 pick, you dont get sent to the best teams. they are almost .500 which is actually pretty good considering where they were last yr.They just beat last yrs super bowl winner and the team who was one missed field goal away from being in the super bowl themselves. also 3-1 in the last four games. RG III is a rookie and is improving every game it takes a while to adjust. They might end up running the table

Carolina- 1-3 Cam has all the talent in the world, but the others around him dont. like I said above if your a top 5 pick you dont get sent to the best teams. Stafford and Bradford are legit pocket passer qbs #1 overall but their teams struggled their first couple of yrs due to a combination of them having to adjust to the pros and that they just dont have the talent thats why they got the number 1 pick over all.

#1 jets fan and everyone else stay civil, I swear everyone in this forum is so up tight. Conversations here are more like arguments between middle school girls then adults.

It's exciting because RGIII makes it exciting. His passing in the pocket is light years ahead of Sanchez and Tebow. He puts the ball where it needs to be. He still makes rookie mistakes, but his passing lets it be so successful.

I was thinking Luck instead of Kap. Two fumbles in four games isn't great, but the passing I watched a few of those games and they have some nice plays for that cat.

Edit he has another 3 rushing fumbles with 2 lost. I still think with that coach he will be pretty damn good
