Pitt. At 8-8 make it a simple 9-7 tie breaker with the bengals. Even better bengals lose Thursday, steelers lose Sunday, bengals bounce back and beat Pitt, lost to ravens the final week.

    8-8 for bengals and steelers

they're not going to the playoffs! have a really good chance to lose to both san diego and buffalo. you can't expect the defense to stop the other team and score points also......:drunk:

You also. Any expect the offense to play so shitty for a half. The running game is much better and the defense has confidence. No reason anything can't happen....that is why they play the games.

Buffalo put up 12 points this week. They are just as inconsistent as us and so is SD. They are "winnable" games in the sense that all the games left are 50/50 tossups. There isn't an uphill battle of an amazing defense/RB/QB we have to face

    Path to the playoffs:

    Jets win out.

Steelers lose to the Cowboys and Bengals.

Bengals beat the Steelers and lose to the Ravens.

    Conference record comes before tiebreaker?

No forget what I wrote. The tiebreaker would be applied to the Steelers and Bengals first since they are from the same division. The Steelers would win this tiebreaker and would then win the tiebreaker vs the Jets.

The Jets need to win out, and Steelers need to lose twice (incl. vs the Bengals).

Hypothetical: If we win out, what are our chances on those % websites ???

Or we can't do that now ?

Can't believe we have to root for Romo to not blow it next week. Does anyone know what the Cowboys think about Garrett? Would they fire him if they miss the playoffs again?
If he is truly on the hot seat this year, then you would have to figure that Romo would also think his job is in question. A new coach may clean house and Romo has to know that as well. It may be a little extra motivation for them. Their late comeback today was actually kind of impressive. I kept waiting for the horrendous pick or clock management gaffe but they got it done on the road when Cincy looked pretty solid on D all day.

Romo is clutch as hell, hes just been on the losing end to often. This is a game Romo has to have, has to show up for. A loss will kill the Cowboys season.

I hang out around the Metallica message board and in their General Discussion it is overrun by Cowboy's fans. I can tell you from a fan perspective, they are fed up with Garrett on many, many levels. Especially when it comes to playcalling. And as Jerry Jones is really just one uber-fucking-rich fan, I would imagine his sentiments are about the same. Under Jerrah, heads are always ready to roll.

Am I the only one barely thinking playoffs, and more along the lines of "I just hope to see some improvement next week?"

I feel the same way. The jets dug the bed their in over these first 13 games. They had their chance to have a better record but they are where they are.

Ideally the steelers and bengals lose next week but the jets need to win their games more then anything.

I've seen people say they should tank the rest of the year for a better draft pick which in their case never made sense to me. With 6 wins the jets are in no mans land. Their pick wouldn't be super high anyways and its a weak draft. I rather see them finish strong and end the season with some positives in a season that's had plenty of negatives. Playoffs or no playoffs I want to see improvement each week the rest of this season.

I want to ideally get the #6 seed, play vs Baltimore and then maybe the Texans, no Patriots holy shit

This is so true. We have three more unwatchable games of being subjected to unwatchable football to have a chance at a meaningful game against a decent opponent. The NFL has become a joke. I feel dirty having wasted 7 hours watching the last 2 Jets victories.

What your post tells me more then anything is the NFL needs to eliminate a lot of teams before we will be subjected to quality football on a weekly basis.

I Hate This Team. That Being Said...

We all know if they manage to sneak into the playoffs they are getting to at least the AFC Championship game again. They might even win it all if Sanchez grows some hair on his chest.

This organization (and fanbase) is bipolar.

Hahaha. This is probably the most likely scenario.

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...iants-stay-ahead-of-redskins-cowboys/related/

    AFC

    1. Texans (11-1): Even if they lose to the Patriots on Monday night, the Texans will have the inside track for home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.

    2. Broncos (10-3): At the moment, the Broncos are half a game ahead of the Patriots in the race for a first-round playoff bye.

    3. Patriots (9-3): If they beat the Texans, the Patriots will move ahead of the Broncos on the strength of New England’s head-to-head tiebreaker edge over Denver.

    4. Ravens (9-4): Baltimore’s two-game losing streak has dimmed its hopes of earning home-field advantage in the playoffs.

    5. Colts (9-4): Indianapolis hasn’t actually clinched, but there are very few scenarios left under which the Colts don’t get to the playoffs.

    6. Steelers (7-6): Pittsburgh still gets in based on the head-to-head tiebreaker edge over Cincinnati.

In the mix: The 7-6 Bengals’ playoff hopes took a hit with a loss to Dallas, but if they beat the Steelers in Week 16, the Bengals will probably get to the playoffs. The 6-7 Jets are, amazingly, still in the playoff hunt, but they’re a long shot.
