you might be right... but when he's on, he's very good. it's just that he's on so infrequently. but don't you think that eventually insult will be added to injury and sanchez will be the sports illustrated cover story talking about how his trial-by-fire prepped him for his super bowl win with the...say...vikings or seahawks or saints...

I hear ya but good pro QB's, even decent ones, aren't on only infrequently. That's a one way ticket to the bench and out of the league. Accuracy is crucial to a QB's success and he has none. I can't go with you on that stretch and damn that's a big stretch LOL. First off, the Saints have a Hall of Fame QB and the Seahawks have a franchise QB so no that will never happen. He'll be a backup for a few years after the Jets get rid of him. I predict he plays about another 4 years or pro football before his career ends. Most of those 4 years will obviously not be with the Jets.
Sanchez was never really good. At his best he is a top 25-30 QB game manager. He can only complete passes when his receivers are wide open and the pocket is completely clean. even when he does complete a pass it is almost thrown 2-3 yards behind his receiver and more often than not requires a great effort by the receiver to catch the ball. In 2009-2010 Sanchez was only allowed to throw the ball in no passing situations limiting his exposure to stupidity. We almost always ran the ball in 3rd and long. That is the only way a team can succeed with him as QB. Do not let him pass the ball in passing situations.
