I did a quick search to see if this thread has been started, but you would be surprised how many threads Tanny is in.

I also found an interesting article about some highly sought after GM candidates here

Personally, I would offer DeCosta the world, and our location is only 4 hours from Baltimore where his wife is from. I understand he is the successor, but at his young age he might be more than eager to prove himself.

I say this, if you are going to get rid of Tanny, get somebody that is better, like get the Jets to a Super Bowl constantly. For much hate Tanny gets he has built a roster that is has been one of the most successful since the days of Namath.

I just spoke w/Woody, Tanny isn't going anywhere and neither is Sanchez or Rex.

Would love to get Decosta from Baltimore. Especially because he would be familiar with Pettine and Rex Ryan. Would be great if they could get Brian Billick to be the O-Coordinator and get the band back together.

Tom gamble would be nice, he seems like the type that's willing to build through the draft and not look for the quick fix that ultimatly would hinder the franchise in the long run. Whoever ends up takin the job if Tanny gets fired I hope they place emphasis on the draft and don't trade picks away regularly. I want them to have a long term plan that provides the best chance for sustained success, even if it results in the team taking lumps early while putting the pieces together. If he has a plan and a legit direction I could tolerate it

There are talks about Tanny being let go, and I clearly stated "IF" tanny was let go.

Thanks for the discussion, I can always rely on this board sarcasm, and bullshit. Typically from those that don't have anything to offer.

That's about right. They will never let tanny go because they can just reassign him or give him his old job as cap manager.

I think the last 4 games will make a difference. If this team collapses in the last 4 games, going 1-3 or worse, I could see Tannenbaum being reassigned.

I think the odds are still good that everyone is back next season.

Newsome has done a tremendous job with Balt.
if DeCosta anything like him, sign him right up. i'd want to keep Rex, so the connection probably a good thing.
btw i'd keep Tanny around as cap manager. guy has done a very good job at that.
