If McElroy has a terrible game against the Jags then go to Tebow next game. If Tebow isn't healthy then give McElroy a second start.

This Sunday would be the very first time McElroy has ever taken snaps with the first stringers in practice. He deserves more than once chance @ failure before the hook comes in. If Jets go back to Sanchez, it should be after McElroy & Tebow have shown they can't get the job done.

Lol Rex might just throw McElroy in there just to ruin the kid's career.

Depends how bad. You can always put Sanchez back in or start Tebow. No big deal. Or find some journeyman.

It's not as though McElroy has any expectations. He's not the franchise QB. You don't have to worry about "ruining him" as so many people on this board talk about Sanchez.

Like I've said before, I don't think it really matters, but if pressed, I'd agree with the above.

McElroy and Tebow both get their shots before Sanchez comes back in. Sanchez has had 4 years and still sucks. Even if he sucks least of the three, give the other two a chance to prove it.

If Gmac has a terrible start against JAC then we know what he is and we don't have to talk about it anymore and Tebow might finally see the field

Sanchez is still gonna be here, no way do the Jets eat his deal. However, with RGIII established in Washington, I'd explore the possibility of trading for Kirk Cousins (unless McElroy is an absolute powerhouse the last four games). Cousins has the potential to be a starting QB, likely wouldn't cost an arm and a leg, and his presence could serve to motivate Sanchez.

I'd also look to sign a reliable, Jason Campbell type, veteran back-up.

Rex has an awfully tough decision to make here for many reasons. My personal opinion is that he should let McElroy, start/finish regardless of results, Sanchez #2, Tebow inactive. If McElroy starts it will be a run heavy game anyway.

Reality is that's not going to happen in my opinion. I think what will happen is that Sanchez gets a last stand, on the road against a shitty team, and McElroy, as unvelievable as it is, will be inactive.

If Sanchez plays poorly, then he gets the permanent hook ( I hope), Tebow comes in to play in front of his hometown fans. remainder of the season becomes a fitting end to the circus season with Tebow and McElroy both playing &Tannenbaum getting fired at season's end.

I can't see them having 3 Qb's active, that would be ridiculous. I guess alot depends on Tebow's "injury" too.

Same here, I cheered when GMac came in, I (mostly) cheer no matter who is the player.
Cause I Root for the team...

That said, There is no magic rabbit here.

The problems that We have on offense are the same problems but with a different guy @ QB.

It's more about not turning the ball over because Mark was giving the ball away like free samples @ Costco.
"Oh, you have to try this new pigskin!" nom nom....

we are thin at WR and HB right now with injuries they don't necessarily have to list him as qb 2 or 3.

You can put Tebow at HB 3 or wr 5 if thats an issue. I dont think there is a rule about being able to put ur hb 3 under center they do it for true wildcat plays.

you have GOT to be kidding me with this. Sanchez sucks for the greater part of 4 seasons, and guys are still demanding that he just be given another shot.

but we are going to pull McElroy, after 3 quarters, if he struggles, in his first EVER start?

i fail to see the logic here

The entire argument is based on an old rule which really pisses me off but I'm not surprised because it's adopted by everyone. The bigger the salary, the more chances you get to prove you can get the job done. Sanchez salary guarantees him multiple opportunities to prove he's the QB.

McElroy makes peanuts & therefore it's public knowledge that he is pushing it by getting just one whole game to prove to prove himself.

he has had more chances then any qb in franchise history, while failing worse then nearly all of them. he should be out of chances unless injury forces us to go back to him

right, but the OP is suggestion that he not even get one whole game.

^This.... just so long as Rex brings the circus full circle and puts in Tebow once Shitcheese starts stinkin' up the joint again. :)

Shitchez would own the distinction of having fans chanting for the "other guy" both home and away. What a mess. Good job, Mr. T.

I would trade Sanchez to His old coach Pete carroll(Seattle) for Matt Flynn. Get rid of Tanny and soprano. Bring in gruden to be head coach n keep Rex as def coordinator. Trade tebow to the nags for some draft picks.

He did throw a pick last week and was bailed out by a bad call. I can't see him just not throwing any picks with this group and being productive. The wrs don't run good routes, besides Kerley, Keller hurt, no one to check it down to, Greene can't catch to save his ass.

If Rex goes with McElroy (and I believe he will), then Sanchez won't even make the trip.

    Mark would be deactivated.

We'd have McElroy starting with Tebow coming in off the bench for 10-12 snaps, and Mark watching from home.

If Tebow simply can't go yet, then Mark starts and McElroy reclaims the clip board.

    Matt Flynn? No thanks.

There's a reason why Flynn (who Seattle gave a $6 million signing bonus) couldn't beat out an undersized rookie in training camp and who (barring injury to Wilson) won't see the light of day there.

hello! this is mcelroy we're talking about, not suckchise.

this post would be more relevant if rex is dumb enough to ignore the owner, the fans, and the tapes from last game and name the spanish turnover factory as the qb starter. same type of hard-headed bullshit that got his dad fired in philly and arizona. they know defense, but it's running the other part of the team that gives them trouble. :shit:
