    29th in completion %
    27th in rating
    16th in total yards
    25th in yds/game

I'm curious how in the hell he was a top 10 QB? In fact his completion % and rating is near identical to what it is now and what it's been his four years in the league.

    Good.

Braylon had an excellent relationship with Mark. He's defending his ex-QB. The FO needs to be put on blast.

He's probably just going to say those are fantasy nerd numbers ans discount them and then say something about the two AFCCG.

Who cares about statistics when your winning? Sanchez wasn't turning the football over in 2009-2010 and he was winning games late for us. What the hell else do you want from the guy? He's damaged goods now, but in 2009-2010, he was playing excellent football for us.

People who discount stats always bring up wins, as if wins and losses aren't stats too. Stats can paint the picture for those wins and losses, they shouldn't be blindly accepted, but they also can't be blindly discounted either.

Our defense and running game was excellent and winning games for us, Sanchez was the same QB then that he is now, our defense and running game is just diminished, hence the 5-7 record.

Sanchez wasn't anywhere near a top 10 QB and he wasn't playing excellent football for us.

What do i want from him? Maybe in year four to not suck?

The Jets receivers were much better 2 years ago than todays receivers.

Love Braylon. Never going to forget him dragging two patriot pro bowl DBs into the endzone.

All I want is wins, and you should as well. Now I don't discount stats, but if your making the plays to help the team win the game, I'm not going to care about statistics as much. I think we all want something different in a franchise QB.

...and that's with talent around him.

Mark did have some nice come from behind wins in his career, but if he didn't suck for 3 quarters, he would not have had to. How many games did we not score a TD in the first quarter? first half?

That was the ultimate statement in what should have been a statement game

But wins are a team stat, not a singular player stat. The picture painted by the player stats and rankings show that at a minimum half of the QB league could have stepped in for Sanchez and done just as well. Obviously that's rampant speculation, but I think the numbers back it up fairly well.

People need to take into account that a new environment mixed with a new system that didnt allow him as many snaps most likely played a hand in Braylons fall off when he became a 49er.

Braylon put in work in our system and I have no doubts that he would 0f continued to put in work in our system if Tanny, Bradway had resigned him opposed to letting him walk.

Bray was one of the best, if not the best blocking receiver on the team and he was the jets only deep threat. He took a good amount of pressure off Holmes.

Anyways these comments make it apparent that things soured between Braylon and the Jets staff which is why they didnt even try to resign him for vets minimum this off season. Sucks because im sure he could of helped.

I wanted to see Sanchez develop as a QB with Braylon, Cotchery and Keller as his options. He was winning games for us when Colt McCoy and a Young Stafford was making plays on our defense. We wouldn't of won the Browns or Lions game without him.

It would of been nice to see the FO have some sense of continuity on offense. Obviously like I said, the kid is damaged goods now, but this could of been avoided maybe.

Wins are a team stat I agree, but 4th QTR comebacks and game winning drives tend to belong to the QB, especially if he's the one making the plays, which is just what happened that year.

Half of the QBs couldn't of done what Mark has done that year. I disagree 100%. Joe Flacco surely wouldn't of been able to.

This coming from the guy who just called out Braylon for drops when he barely had any in 2010.

You can cite comp % or any fantasy #s you want, he led us to 11 wins and in many of them had to lead us to late scoring drives to win games. That's more important than comp %.

That's what I expect from the average fan. Anyone who watched the games and understand the game knows better.

-28 pts vs. NE in 28-14 win, 3 TD passes
-despite D blowing double digit lead in Maimi leads late drive to give D 8 pt lead(D almost blows).
-despite driving rainstorm does not turn it over vs. Minny, D blows double digit lead
-keeps 4th down play alive and gives Holmes a chance to catch pass drawing flag to lead us to win at Den.
-leads us down 10 late at Det, win in OT.
-D blows late lead at Cle, throws late TD pass to win in OT.
-D blows 23-7 4th qtr lead, trailing by 4 w/ 49 secs left at own 28 and no TOs leads us to GW TD in final seconds.
-leads us to GW FG(chip shot) at Indy in final minute.
-outplays best QB of this generation in Foxboro w/ 3 TDs in leading us to div rd win at Pats.
-nearly leads us back from 24-0 down at Pitt but D couldn't get 1 more stop to give him chance.

be a better fan than one who just cites rankings.

I've watched every single game since I was probably eight. Only someone completely ignorant simply dismisses stats over a large sample size and relies on his faulty memory and random sample games to backup his poorly crafted argument.

you may watch but you have no idea what you are watching.

I guess you prefer QBs that throw TDs in garbage time and dump the ball off all game to get comp % higher? I prefer a QB that makes plays to win games and that's what Mark did throughout 2010. I bet you think Philip Rivers is great.

Those bricks were pretty good in the AFC CG when he made HUGE plays all over the field.

But hey, gotta love those slants to Shillens on the goal line, right ?

Also, how many ELITE QB's went to the AFC or NFC CG's ??????
