Assuming Gmac will start against the Jags on sunday and he starts off poorly, for example, 7 of 20 80 yds 2 Ints by the half, do you think Rex would pull him and bring in Mark? Would be interesting to see how that would work out. Thoughts?
Why do a lot of Jet Fans deal with Hypothetical situations?? Let's see if GMAC shits the bed first, not what the move would be before he does. I'm staying positive, and hoping GMAC turns out to be a solid QB.
If he starts I doubt he throws more than 10 passes in a half, not much room to screw up too bad. It will be ground and pound all the way
I honestly think sanchez starts , but in the event that greg starts and he shits the bed, you have to go to tebow But Rex will go back to Mark no doubt.
I hope this is a great story that he comes in and plays great and never looks back but I'm not convinced he will even start Sunday and our weapons around the QB are so bad I don't think any QB can succeed.
I think you're so right, we just don't have the supporting personal for any QB to do very well. All we need is GMAC to manage the game and not make mistakes, if that happens, he will have already succeeded with a bare cupboard. Turnovers and bad decisions Sanchez is know for have to come to an end.
for the future assuming Holmes comes back healthy and Hill develops we will have a good WR corps but right now Kerley is our #1 and he's more like a #3 on most teams.
I don't think so, I think they will see just what the kid can do, especially if we take an early lead.
If McElroy doesn't commit a turnover, that would be 5 less turnovers than Sanchez. All he really needs are ground and pound and play action bombs.
Is it safe to say that whatever happens the rest of this season, the Jets are looking for a QB for 2013? I highly doubt if they stand pat with the personnel onhand.
We have to give one of our budding young players the credit he deserves. The qb throwing him the ball is far from on top of his game and he is the only credible wr threat on the offense. This causes him to get the best of the coverage guys and occasionally some double teaming/bracketing/safety help. Even with that he has put on very respectable numbers for this stage of his career. With some development, increased qb production, and some better receiving friends to take all the load off him he can be a solid weapon and possibly be at around 1000 yrds a season.
I don't believe there will be any worthwhile QBs coming up in the draft and with 8+ mil still owed to Sanchez, I don't think Jets will reach for a mediocrity, but would spend time improving elsewhere (OL, WRs, RB). But again, it's Jets with Tanny we're talking about, so all bets are off.
