The below average offensive coordinator? Probably scrap both. We need an offensive OC or coach who knows or has developed a young QB. We are going to be drafting one soon, we better do it right

I would love Martz, would he come back for only an OC role?

Fans hated Schotty but with the right personnel he got them to two AFC Championship games together.

Last year his had 32 TDs...this year 12...Sporano and offensive personnel are just not clicking. The Tebow experiment looks like a Woody Johnson signing because Sporano and Ryan have no idea how to use him yet keep praising a guy that has 3 snaps a game.

In that second year, when we went 11-5, 3 of our losses came by putting up 0, 9, 6 points. That offense was excruciating inconsistent.

Did anyone else think that Sanchez's going to Rex about his benching (after being informed of same by Sporano) spoke VOLUMES about the disfunctional nature of his relationship with BOTH coaches?

Inconsistent yes but Sanchez showed big number improvements over three years - TD's went up, Yards went up, complt % went up. He made mistakes ,but he led some huge 4th quarter comebacks and played solid in the playoffs on the road and when trailing.

That win in Indy was huge!

Here a fact about that game.
Yes he was picked off 3 times but Jets would had been winning if Folk doesn't miss those 2 fg. I think they should start Sanchez this week because he now know Rex will bench him. That may wake him up.

I think he would. Especially in a situation where a HC is on the Hot seat...

I thought he would have been great for Sanchez as a rookie.
But nope, we get horrible guys to surround our franchise QB.

    Shotty, Cavanaugh, Sporano....really?
    Think about that

Sparano is not the problem look at this depth chart and consider this is the first year they implemented the system. Talent is needed for next year. Lets see what McElroy can do.

I understand, but I think Sanchez might, just might, give us the best shot of going 4-0, at least compared to McElroy, an UNPROVEN qb with potential.

At least Sanchez has some experience winning football games as a Jet.

Now can you understand why some fans (and coaches, I'm guessing) might think Sanchez should start on a short leash?

One could easily, and correctly argue that part of the problem with Sparano's offense is that Sanchez has played like shit this year.

The goal line pick versus Seattle is like a microcosm of the rest of the season. Sparano actually designed and dialed up the perfect play for the situation, 2 receivers were wide open, Sanchez had all day to throw and ended up getting picked.

Now, take that same kind of thing and apply it to other drives that stalled after 3 or 5 plays.

How would that offense look if Sanchez were hitting his receivers instead of throwing incompletions ? Or how about the "chunk plays" that end up with little YAC due to Sanchez's inaccuracy ?

Sparano definitely has his faults, and I don't think he's particularly good at his job, but I really think that in the passing game, Sanchez was more of a problem that Sparano was.

Interesting that Hill said "both quarterback's" not "all the quarterback's".
