Why? What about the depth chart? Tebow loses his job to injury?

Sanchez on a very short leash. If his play hasn't changed, put McElroy in and make sure Sanchez doesn't see a single snap the rest of the season.

McElroy. Sanchez has played like shit for most of the year, as is coming off two disastrous performances.

He loses his job because he's apparently terrible. Tebow was only 2nd on the depth chart because they had packages for him.

Yes, it has happened to other QBs before. It's bad luck for him, but the job passed over him. It makes more sense to continue on with Greg then go to Tim if it doesn't work or he gets hurt.

Go with McElroy. But tebow should run the wildcat just as he used to. Ground and pound the terrible jaguars

Tebow will still be protecting on punts, he hasn't lost his job.

Again, for the record, I am (and have been) 100% convinced Sanchez isn't the answer. My aim is to get rid of him as quickly as possible.

He could have been third and still see the field.

McElroy doesn't have the arm compared to Tebow...? You must be joking or intoxicated.

That's not what Rex said. He said if Sanchez were injured, they'd go with Tebow.

I think the team will just be compounding the "circus factor" if they bench Sanchez, and don't even give Tebow a shot.

McElroy is a #3. Not an NFL body. Would have been the #3 behind Drew Stanton if Tebow hadn't come in.

You need to seperate your mouth from his balls, its clouding your mind. Your avatar suits Teblow perfectly, get used to it.

I agree with this. Except if he struggles against the Jags then I would switch back to McElroy. Give Sanchez the 1st half, if not then go with McElroy in the 2nd half and the rest of the season.

    1) You're assuming he's healthy enough to play
    2) The depth chart means less than who gives us the best chance to win next Sunday. What about the depth chart?
    3) Injured players -- gasp -- play worse when they're injured. Injuries inherently justify demotions without need for further justification(s).

But if Stanton was hurt and they went to McElroy it still doesn't make sense to go to Stanton. You made the choice to switch Sanchez out, you either go back to Sanchez because you pulled him or you go to Greg who you pulled him for. It doesn't make sense to go outside those two currently.

If Rex is looking at it, I don't see how Tebow enters the conversation right now besides from a media perspective.

McElroy has a chance at being the future of the NYJets. Tebow does not. "Compounding the circus factor" means starting Tebow at this point. Logic escapes you.

"Compounding the circus factor" means creating more controversy and scrutiny at the QB position. Now, who is more likely to do that, McElroy or Tebow? Obviously the answer is Tebow and no one else.

Apparently I'm crazy too because I feel the same way. I think you'll know for certain if Sanchez is done next week if you start him and he shits the bed again. At that point you know immediately that the most pressing issue in the draft is QB. Of course the staff could know that already .

Is my memory off in that we benched Sanchez his rookie year against the Bills in Toronto but the following week we were home against the Jags? My memory is fuzzy as I was in Asia.
