It's been a few games coming now. I can't believe Rex would go back to Sanchez after actually winning a game after he made the change.

I guess the big question is whether or not Tebow dresses the rest of the season. It's embarrassing as hell for the Jets to have him on the sidelines at this point after Sanchez has been replaced.

I wouldn't. I could care less at this point. The seal was broken. I'm not interested in watching Tebow or McElroy. Just wanted Sanchez's reign of awful to end. It did. If he keeps the job, he's now the starter because someone has to be. Not because they actually have faith.

We need the best players play,period.Its been some time now since Sanchez has been our best option at quarterback.

 

Who would've seen this coming after he exposed the locker room last year. Start Mac and see what happens. Sanchez can always go back in then.

 

Things needed to change. Rex made a gamble, but it paid off bringing in McElroy.

 

It is absolutely over. even if he plays a game or two through next season if McElroy stinks, benching him clearly indicates he is not the team's plan at qb and they have moved on. We will stick with these three next year and plan on a new qb in 2014.

 

It did pay off for three reasons:

1. McElroy led them to a score.

2. The Cardinals were really inept on offense all day.

3. A penalty on an interception sealed things late.

All of that said, luck is a real factor and the Jets need luck more than anything else right now to keep the season alive.

 

I think the Jets try to work out a deal with Sanchez on his contract so that they can release him. It won't be easy and he may well decide to stay but going free agent with half of the cash for next year instead of being stuck in NY with all of it may be the only way he can salvage his career.

If McElroy stinks they will likely go with tebow this season. and if he stinks Satchez may even get back in this year. but either way this benching says loud and clear that he is out as the Jets starting qb long term and they are now auditioning the role.
