If he does declare he is a possibility, he's a pass rushing machine but many believe he will suit a 4-3 scheme better then a 3-4. It's a possibility though.

I want a legitimate edge rusher. Every elite defense in the league has one guy who can consistently get double digit sacks off the edge. Gettin damn tired of Tanny neglecting this for YEARS

Other than that Id say a right tackle, running back, and safety

Same here my friend. Get familiar with Jarvis Jones and Bjoern Werner, they will solve that problem.

Jets need to infuse talent. Draft the best player available this year (within reason).

Ideally, the Jets need another playmaker offensively and a talented offensive lineman. That said, the need for a young outside linebacker is just as glaring as those other needs.

    LIST OF NEEDS
    1. Elite quarterback
    2. OLB
    3. RB
    4. RT
    5. OG
    6. TE
    7. WR
    8. Another OLB
    9. Developmental QB (not a backup at best like McElroy)
    10. S

Honestly, if the Jets drafted any of the top five positions in round one, I'd be okay with it. Then after that, take whatever's best on the board. If someone like Te'o or Lotulelei falls, you have to consider it, but take a hard look at the players at these positions first. Still too early to judge the full draft stock.

Big school, big conference, productive, no questions about attitude, outgoing, coachable, no run-ins with the law, a captain of the football team, physically capable of the role intended.

    OR

A freak who looks like Superman in his skivvies at the combine who everybody sees as flawed in some key way but who you're sure will be a star if you can just draft him by any means necessary.

That's good NFL talent evaluation vs the Terry Bradway school of thought.

The term sleeper should not be in the picture at all unless it is his favorite movie.

  7. Under this logic Seneca Wallace would've been a first round pick & Jason Pierre-Paul would have been a 5th round pick.

I'm not suggesting that big school production shouldn't be a factor..but you can't overlook rare physical ability.

We will win some meaningless games and screw getting the right player. But then again, if Mark keeps throwing picks like he just did v Arizona, we have a chance. Go Mark go.

todays win makes me feel bi-polar....I'm happy they won, yet disappointed they won. I know the team isn't good enough to get anywhere in the playoffs if they luck in to. But I know now they'll win just enough games to not get a top line player and have a low enough pick that it will have no real trade down value.
