Wow. I've always hated this guy, and this may lead to me never having to read his crap on ESPN again.
I knew this weeks ago. It was kind of ironic when Cimini and Steiny32 (changed to Steiny55) posted the same tweet word for word seconds after each other. I did call him out on it, but nothing came about because of it, and he conveniently did not answer. These were two consecutive tweets in my timeline. Look at all of the tweets from the new Steiny55, they are all apologetic. Seems like he got caught.
Not saying what cimini did was ok but steiny is a huge punk. Anyone who follows him knows that he way over hypes his "friends" in or trying to get in the nfl.
His pandering to players is annoying, but I think given the fact that he's literally an 18 year old kid he's pretty plugged into things. BTW, wow Cimini is a huge DB.
He's a knowledgeable fan in a sense, I thought he had a lot to offer, and shined a lot of positive for Jet fans out there. Nothing about him tells me he's a punk. Just a kid trying to live the dream as a beat writer and report on his favorite team. He thought certain players could end up playing well here. It's surely not his fault our coaches can't coach up anyone is it?
I was pretty outspoken over at twitter about this outing of the Steiny fake account, because it seemed to me like "the real Steiny" was pissy that someone was making fun of him and worked to out some random Jets fan who was busting his balls, like all the other people who have fake Barack Obama, fake Madonna twitter accounts which are meant to be comical. I was wrong on both counts. Steiny wasn't driving the train to out the person behind the account and it was worth blowing this open, because it wasn't some random Jet fan in his basement busting balls. Never in a million years would I think that someone who has a professional relationship with people like MM and Jane M. would do this, so I'm eating crow. The folks involved were more than right to out Cimini.
i've seen that twitter account...and cimini has DM'd Steiny telling him off. Wouldn't shock me in the least.
Can't believe it would be Cimini....for starters, I believe he has good relationships with his ex-NYDN colleagues and other folks from the press (i.e., Cannizzarro) despite the rivalry.
