tebow just blatantly lied about his ribs... it was kind of funny to hear him talk about it. they asked him when it happened he said oh in seattle... do you remember what play... no i dont really remember... was it on special teams or offense? oh it was on offense.... i think hilfuckinglarious then they asked him if the short turn around hurt him and if he would have been able to play on sunday and he said oh i dont really know thats up to the training staff and the coaches. tebow situation is about to get fucking ugly. this is completely the wrong fucking way to handle that little issue.
I don't know how much I buy that. Why wouldn't they just cut him then? Certainly they would if he wasn't good enough to play. If it's because they're worried he's good enough to catch on somewhere and make an impact well then they're cutting their own nose off to spite their face if they don't use someone that can have an impact while he's here simply because he 'put his name' to criticisms of the locker room while the 'unnamed sources' remain unpunished and Slauson's pretty much been unpunished for what he said.
I wish Tebow would get some f**king guts for once and call out people instead of giving the boring, say-nothing answer. The guy has no backbone and will be out of the league if he doesn't get one fast.
Absurd comments from Ryan after the game. He cited Sanchez's passer rating and said he threw well. Well, duh. The Patriots were not going all out after 35-0. Sanchez sucked before the game got out of hand. Ryan said Tebow was not healthy to play unless there was an emergency. McElroy is healthy. Tebow dressed for the game but McElroy was in street clothes. Mark Sanchez described running into Moore's rump as "an unfortunate deal." You know what was an unfortunate deal? The extension this guy got in the offseason.
I'd really like to hear this one and all week. I hope the bury him in McElroy questions. I'm over Tebow, I was excited to run the ball. It never happened, season is over, and Tebow is not the future. Time to see what the kid has. Rex needs to explain himself not only for destroying this team, but for not moving to see if we can upgrade the QB position. I look forward to media hitting him hard on McElroy and why he can't as a coach make a move. I know his press conferences Rex is full of crap. Ever since this pre season and his "this is one of the best teams" nonsense, I know he is going to lie to us. But I hope these reporters start to get in his face.
Last time I wasted money on this team. Not going to another game until the kick this lying fat elephant off our coaching staff and someone else comes in and buys the team.
exactly! and, if he plays well, they also know the fanbase will breathe fire for their stupid trade of picks to move up and draft suckchise, plus all the games they already lost for starting suckchise, plus idiot tannybum handing him another $20 million guaranteed.
I could be mistaken, but I keep seeing that we turned the ball over 5 times. Are they counting the fumble on 4th and 1 where the runner was stuffed and completely stopped, and then fumbled forward for about 7-10 yards? Since he was already stopped, the ball would have gone over to the pats. By fumbling forward when he was completely stopped already, that really shouldn't count as a turnover. He actually helped by the ball going 7-10 yards towards the pats endzone. Again, I'm not sure if that counted as one of the 5 turnovers. If it did, then I think it should only be 4 turnovers (which is 4 too many).
Did you notice Tebow's reactions when asked questions about his ribs? Rex is lying his azz off. Tim just has to tow the company line.
Doesn't getting stopped on 4th down, regardless of whether he fumbled, count as a turnover (on downs)?
If Sanchez really gives the Jets the best chance to win God help us... I guess we need to just cut McElroy and trade Tebow, they're apparently completely worthless, and draft a QB then. These games where Sanchez spots the other team 2 -3 tds with his horrible picks and fumbles leave us essentially no chance to win.
I'm not sure what the problem is. The team was built by buying veteran free agents to make a SB run in 08 and 09. We had a bonus year in 10 and now we have to have a few down years to get the cap money cleaned out and have a few really good drafts. That's what happens when you build the team to compete for a couple of years and don't actually make it all the way. The question is does Tanny and Rex give us the kind of management to do a complete rebuild that Tanny and Mangini provided? I don't see Rex as having the temperment to teach and build that kind of program. He filled a need when we had the talent and now he is dead weight. Tanny probably brings something to the table in terms of cap management and player moves but without rebuilding scouting and bringing in coaches who can teach we aren't going to get it done.
