Just wondering about the confidence that Sporano has right now in Sanchez, notice 2 times in the Rams game its 3 and goal or close to goal with at least 4 yards to go, and 2 run plays were dialed up. I am sure a lot of Jets fans were waiting for the infamous pick in the end zone....never came since runs were called. Honestly, the announcers were spewing on about how good the play calls were, when in fact, had they not succeeded, they and the Jets Fans would have been all over the calls.

I mean really, who runs the ball when its 3rd and 5 on the goal line? Is this is an indictment on Sanchez in the red zone?

I agree 100%. I thought the same thing, those were great calls by Sparano for the sheer fact that he took the ball out of Sanchez's hands. Even if we don't get in the end zone and have to kick a fg I would have been happy with those run plays. Every time we throw inside the red zone I hold my breath expecting the worst - its really sad.

The second time, outside of the DL there was no within 5 yards of the OL. They clearly thought we were passing and after Powell's first run completely agree with the call.

Also it touches upon how valuable it is to have a back in there on 3rd down instead of going 5 wide. The Rams clearly didn't expect it both times.

Not to derail the discussion, but with this one simple post you've touched on a key reason Tebow was able to have success in college (and some in the pros).

The math is entirely advantageous if you can go 5 wide, but still essentially have a "back" in there. Especially one that's pretty durable and can shoot through the tackles.

REX ... how many times does this piece of garbage need to turn the ball over before his ass is glued to the bench??? Seriously ... how many? Have you seen enough yet?

I can't even find the energy to complain about Sanchez.

    Things has to change.

    From top to bottom.

Tanny has to go and new GM should pick the new HC, OC, DC and ST Coach.

    Enough is enough

The most Mark Sanchez-type play ever.
