Watching Aldon Smith kill it on MNF, he has 4 sacks so far in one half of a game, thats more then anyone on our team the entire year, why can't we find a guy like that

Was thinking the exact same thing watching the game. When was the last time we had a young guy as exciting as Von Miller or Aldon Smith?

I'm still hoping Coples can be that guy. He's shown a lot of potential- seems to be learning the game.

Coples isn't brought in to be that guy. you need DE/OLB's. If Coples is even close to those guys, we've hit the jack for a 34 DE (43 DT).

I haven't seen enough run stuffing D from Coples to see him as a 3-4 DE.
I think he is a 4-3 DE, with a shift to 4-3 DT on obvious passing situations.

We've primarily been running 3-4 fronts for base D, which is one of the reasons his playing time has been limited. He needs to get better against the run. At the very least, i'd love to see him consistently out there and effective on passing downs.
