Its like Mr.T tried to replace Braylon with Plax then he tried to replace him with Hill, why not just bring the fucking guy back to begin with, He would have been cheap to it amazes me it really does
Braylon is awful since we got rid of him. Theres a reason we dont want the guy who had 2 police incidents in the year and a half we had him. People are obsessed with Braylon and I really dont get it. Losing him has proven to be a wise decision.
It's been proven to be a wise decision???Sanchez has regressed the last two years without Braylon an Cotchery.Chemistry isn't something you can force to happen Braylon had chemistry with Sanchez
Really? You are aware that Victor Cruz is second in the NFL in dropped passes this season right? Granted dropped passes is a rather subjective stat, but never the less, two independent sources don't show Hill in the top 20 recievers in terms of dropped passes. In fact if you look at the leaders in dropped passes this year, Hills name never shows up, but some big names do: Wes Welker, Jimmy Graham, D. Thomas, Gronkowski, Mike Wallace, Victor Cruz, Calvin Johnson. and personally, I'll accept a neutral eye from a company like Stats INC over the goggled eyes of fans. Does Hill need to work on catching the easy passes, yes. But to say he drops everything just isn't factual, or even close to it.
yea but thats only because Hill doesn't get alot of balls thrown his way , and if he gets 3 passes thrown his way a game he normally drops 1-2 passes a game he always drops atleast 1 ball when it's thrown his way.The guys on ur list are the most thrown to WR's and TE's in the league obviously if your targeted 10 or more times a game your gonna drop more passes
although like most, the guy is pissing me off. I will say it's waay too early to write him off. He's a rookie who didn't get many balls thrown his way in college. He's got the tools and is making what i see as coachable mistakes.......i.e not watching the ball into his hands, gettting ready to run before securing it, losing it i the lights etc. Not going to make excuses for the guy, but Holmes being out certainly isn't helping, a lot of pressure on the kid. He seems to get open a lot (unless defenses are so confident he's going to drop the ball they let him run free, doubt it). I'm going to be optimistic on this one.
And since I've found the reference, Hill is credited, through Sunday, with 4 dropped passes. sorry but I choose to go by objective eyes that apply the same criteria to all recievers, even though what qualifies as a drop can be subjective, especially when viewed through eyes that have a pre concieved slant. http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/jets
So the reason Braylon is such a piss poor receiver now is because he isn't playing with Sanchez? I highly doubt it.
Nah U are still in la-la land. U can teach anybody anything IF they have the ability which so far Hill has not shown he has. If RR had to stand up & attempt to defend him then he knows where there is smoke there is fire
He's been targeted 37 times, he's caught 14, dropped 4, the rest were either all on the QB or "shared" responsibility incompletions.
Perhaps this story will answer your question. "The 49ers, fresh off a victory in Super Bowl XIX, were 6-5 and fighting for their playoff lives. Joe Montana's passing numbers were off. Rice, the team's top draft pick, had 26 receptions in 11 games, but he also dropped 10 balls, some of them at the worst possible times. He was coming off a game in which he dropped two passes, fumbled once, and caught just one pass. Niners fans booed the rookie; local columnists made him the butt of jokes. Freddie Solomon, a respected veteran who caught touchdown passes in 10 straight games in 1984, had become the invisible man in the Niners offense while Montana and Rice played pitch 'n' drop." http://www.footballoutsiders.com/walkthrough/2006/too-deep-zone-jerry-rice-rookie-bust In short Rice through the same number of games did have 9 more receptions than Hill, but he had dropped 10 passes in that frame. And these were passes coming from the high precision arm of Joe Montana, not the inaccurate arm of someone like Sanchez. This is not to say that Hill will become Rice, or Megatron, etc...that would be silly to say...but To say that drops can't be cured through practice is just silly.
The two QBs that are outperforming Sanchez this season and in the games against greatly outplayed Sanchez.
Nope his play up to now indicate that he has eye/hand coordination problem. Some people have it others do not & Hill play up to now says he does not. He has become totally unproductive cause MS is just not throwing the ball to him so it is like we are playing 10 vs 11 men. That is really the situation at this moment plain & simple
I think dropped pass percentage would give you a better picture. When the guy only gets 3 targets a game and drops all 3, why would they try to target him more? Victor Cruz was lights out last season and has stepped up to become the Giants #1 guy. I want to see Hill do the same, respectively. Cruz has had a good amount of drops this year, I can't deny it. He still was critical in winning their superbowl last year. It's true that those stats on drops are a bit subjective.
Yes, but Cruz in his rookie year was also haunted by dropped passes. It's really not that uncommon for first year rookies to have that problem. The question is whether they grow out of it or not. But Cruz has been targeted, per ESPN, 104 times and dropped 7, Hill 37 times and dropped 4. A higher percentage yes, but again your comparing rookie to non rookie. Rice for example had dropped 10 passes by his 11th game in to the rookie season, including, I think the article said 2 or 3 in one game. I'm in no way saying that Hill will become Cruz or Rice or anyone in between the two. I'm simply saying that droppsies in a recievers rookie season is not an uncommon occurence, even for players who go on to hall of fame careers. But, there are other players that never adjust and continue to drop passes. Which one is Hill, someone who adjusts and starts making the routine catches or someone who never does? We'll know one way or another within the next two years. But it is impossible to tell with any degree of certainty one way or the other. But for reference purposes even Al Toon had the droppsies in his rookie year, including one game where he dropped 3 passes and fumbled. Growing pains, Am I happy with Hill right now? Nope, but just like Sanchez I won't criticize him overly harshly in his rookie season.
Well that would be on Marks shoulders then wouldn't it? Seems to me he should show as much faith in his rookie receiver as the coaching staff and fans gave Sanchez while he was throwing interceptions and fumbling the ball left and right his rookie season. Of course, I'm hoping that Hill turns out better than Sanchez has.
the so called "fans" on here who insist that rookie wrs can never get better or fix their dropped pass numbers are literally ignorant morons. Absolute imbeciles.
