Santonio Holmes takes Twitter jab at former NY Jets' offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer after Gang Green beats Rams BY KEVIN ARMSTRONG / NEW YORK DAILY NEWS MONDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2012, 12:06 AM Santonio Holmes may be out for season but he was watching closely as Jets stuck it to Rams coordinator Brian Schottenheimer, who did not end on good terms with Holmes last season. ST. LOUIS — Santonio Holmes wasn’t on the field or in the locker room after the game, but on Twitter the Jets wideout let his teammates know he appreciated the win over former offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer. “Good job today #NYJETS for beating up on Shotty n the #RAMS,” Holmes wrote on his verified account. Holmes, who was lost for the season with a foot injury in Week 4, was benched by Schottenheimer during the team’s meltdown in last season’s finale. When Holmes left the locker room afterward, he passed Schottenheimer but neither acknowledged the other. Earlier in the week, Schottenheimer, now the Rams’ offensive coordinator, maintained that he was fine with the way things ended with the Jets. Still, he pumped his fist and looked across the field at the Jets’ sideline after the Rams scored a TD on the opening drive. The Rams achieved little else.— Armstrong Gratuitous Linky
Well, it is close to a non-story, but there is clearly a little something there. If not, then why wouldn't Holmes just congratulate his teammates on beating the Rams? Instead he says "Shotty" and the Rams, as if the Rams' OC was another opponent to be beaten or something instead of part of the team we played today. Anyway, when Holmes had his little hissy fit last year wasn't that because he got all Louth about something to do with Shotty? That's how I remember it. And Ryan was oblivious as to what was going on?
He was obviously taking a cheap shot at Mulligan. But the insult just went flying by Mulligan, seeing as he can't block or catch anything.
this is a non-story just how Wilkerson saying Scott got caught by mully. trying to turn nothing into something lol
wait holmes still cares about the team even though hes out for the rest of the year? goddamn diva selfish not a team player lockerroom cancer oh wait no hes still publicly supporting the team...
more BS from the daily snooze. same paper that ran the BS story about the NYJ lockeroom last wk. its a crap paper that clearly has an agenda to do a hatchet job on the NYJ anytime there is an opportunity to do so - this includes fabricating a fake story w/BS quotes attributed to "unnamed players"
They're all a bunch of liberal fucks (even though they endorsed Romney). Lupica is the biggest jerk of them all
I'm still waiting for the Holmes to the Rams deal. I guess he got hurt too early. Side note: did anybody see the wicked looks Jeff Fisher was sending Schotty's way during the game? I think Schotty could be one-and-done in St Louis unless Fisher is.
I'm not a fan of holmes routine stupid shit. Buti I don't see how In the world this is a cheap shot. It goes more to the point of how much influence the media has in ny in its attempts to run people out of town and paint them as shitty people.
The real issue is how Holmes haters and the media will look for any reason to say something bad about Holmes.
