This is what happens when you have a punk for a Coach. He acts like a cocky and out of control asshole, then wonders why his players do the same. I like Rex, but he needs to get serious and lay down the law, or he could be fired at season's end. I hope it doesn't happen, but there's no point in having a coach who doesn't discipline his players, especially when they're losing like this.

ok and Rex had success his first 2 years while Houston had none. How did we become so good w/ all the same people in place? was it just luck?

so it's the fault of pace, Scott and Thomas?(even though BT was out most of last year). Interesting.

That's a good question that I can't answer because I don't know the structure in place in the Jets FO but it is clear to any non-biased person this franchise is headed straight down currently with holes all over the roster. This is mainly due to poor drafting so the blame needs to go somewhere.

we stink right now but how many teams can lose their best offensive and defensive players and not miss a beat?

We have a good, young/in their prime core to build around. This is not some hopless situation, this is not a 5 year rebuilding project. There's plenty of talent on the team but we need to rebuild the confidence of the QB and that starts w/ retooling the OL, bringing in a RB and getting some WR help.

we have actually drafted pretty well, the problem has been Tannenbaum has made so many trades that he doesn't have many draft picks but he's hit on a good # of them.

What core is there to build around? I see a few good players here and there but way more holes than core players.

At least 2 starters on the o-line, running back, WR, blocking TE, QB, OLBx2, MLB, safety and corner are all question marks especially if Revis has played his last game as a Jet

Mangold, Brick, Keller, Kerley, Hill, Sanchez(proven we can win w/ him), Greene(as a back that splits carries), Harris, Coples, Cro, Revis, Wilkerson. We have a nice young/in their prime core to rebuild around. We are minor moves away from being a playoff contender again.

the front office has work to do but this is not the '76 Bucs.

I don't believe in this organization enough to believe that they can right this ship.

Like I said before in another thread, fire Tanny now and put a new GM in place to evalute players for the rest of the season so next year we can start to turn this thing around.

and then 2 years from now when we struggle we'll want to fire the new GM and start all over again. That's what bad teams do.

Which staff/regime did the Jets get rid of that went on to greater things once they left?

The Jets arent wrong in firing these people. They've all been average at best.

2 of the 3 full seasons under Rex we have been a final 4 team, the only team in the NFL that can say that. We don't have the Kotite Jets, we have a group of guys that have proven they can win big.

Winning a few games as a WC team doesnt prove anything. The team is in total disarray right now, has drafted poorly and their are zero signs of it getting any better.

oh so you'd rather wint he division and be one and done in the playoffs like NE was those 2 years?

Yep, b/c we are struggling this year it means we'll suck for years to come.

Does anyone pay attention to this sport and this league? Outside of NE or Indy w/ Manning teams go up and down, it's not a reason to clean house. I only wish the Giants thought like that b/c they'd have 2 less SB trophies if they did- maybe 3 or all 4 b/c after Parcells went 3-12-1 in '83 they probably should have gotten rid of him according to the logic of you guys.

We're struggling this year? We are in outright turmoil. Players publicly ripping other teammates. We cant get first downs. Our drafts have been dreadful. You dont keep around incompetent people because of the fear of the unknown.

The talent on this team has steadily decreased. The league looks at the Jets as a clown show.

how have our drafts been dreadful?

we are 3-6, we suck but there is still almost half a season to play.

who cares what the league thinks? we are losing and that's all that matters, do you want a team that is losing to be happy? I'd be much more worried if they were ok w/ losing rather than spouting off.

how do incompetent people get w/in a game of the SB 2 straight years?

You're looking at champ. game appearances as something that means anything. It means absolutely nothing.

How have our drafts been dreadful? Have you seen the guy playing QB? He's the worst starter in the league and has been in the bottom 3 every season he's played.

The guy playing QB helped us reach 2 title games and this is the first year he's bottom 3rd(not counting his rookie year).

title games mean a lot, you can't get to a SB w/o playing in a title game.

We have the worst fanbase, we have so many fans that deserve to watch a loser.
