hmmmmm, doesn't seem like Greene was saying he thinks its Tebow time. He's just pondering about what could or might have happened. It doesn't sound like he's demanding change or anything.
Oh of course. His words were "taken out of context". The favorite excuse of athletes right next to "my twitter was hacked"
When a quote has to have parentheses added to the end that's a sure sign the quote was taken out of context.
Greene is on pace for: 1092 yards Rushing/Recieving. 9 tds and 0 turnovers. Sanchez is on pace for: 3330 yards 18 tds 24 turnovers (17 ints 7 fumbles lost) Greene is better than sanchez because at the very least he wont lose a game for his team due to turnovers. Which is also why Tebow is better than Sanchez and should start, like I have been saying since the preseason.
I don't see any parentheses there. I just get tired of this stupid excuse anytime somebody says a little too much and then tries to backpedal.
This is a ridiculous argument so I won't bother responding other than to point out it's ridiculousness.
Taken out of context can mean a number of different things. One of those is "yeah, that's what I said, but that's not what I meant". BTW, this is entirely incorrect, he wasn't "taken out of context", rather, he spoke incorrectly and didn't say what he actually meant, but to him, he was "taken out of context".
LMAO - what a bunch of awful crap. YES 1,092 rushing yards with 9 TDs, awesome for a feature back indeed
It isnt an argument, it is simpy statistical fact. If you want to prentend things like "math" or "numbers" are ridiculous feel free.
Comparing a RB to a QB is silly. RBs aren't particularly valuable. QBs are the most important players on the field. We should work to find a better option at RB for the future, but nothing matters until we get a halfway decent quarterback.
All I'm saying is Greene has no room to talk. He's been underwhelming also. Saying Sanchez is better than Greene isn't really saying much at all.
Jets need to backpedal more than take the bait every time imo, NY media ain't like anywhere else. Everybody on payroll gives juicy quotes for dickhead writers to work with.
You posted some shitty numbers and concluded that one player was better than another based on them. It was a stupid analysis that failed to account for pretty much every factor possible and resulted in a meaningless conclusion. Trying to say it's just math after the fact is as ridiculous as when Ron Burgundy said "it's science". Unfortunately you weren't trying to be funny like the writer of that movie.
Yes the analysis that turnover lose football games is clearly "stupid" Here is a clue, a player that commits 24 turnovers with shit production is a bigger liabilty than one who commits 0 turnovers with shit production. Its not rocket science, it is basic math, which is probably why you are struggling with it and trying to argue based on your emotions. I do agree though, those are shitty numbers put up by a shit QB
Since every starting QB in the NFL has way more turnovers than Shonn Greene, how does that fit into your whole math equation? I'm stopping here for a reason. I could easily go way further with this. FTR, I didn't really make much of an argument as to Greene vs. Sanchez. I said Greene could be a worse RB than Sanchez is a QB. I could very well be wrong. I think they both suck though. Your math equation is severely lacking in critical thinking.
I think he said exactly what he meant because he got baited by a reporter who is really good at getting athletes to say what is really on their mind. Then after the story blew up, of course he tried to backpedal. The quote I posted leaves little up to debate for the "context" argument. I hate when athletes try to pretend like a verbatim quote they gave is something to have false indignation over. We aren't stupid. The words mean what the words mean.
