I don't know if the Jets tweaked his contract, but in Denver, to make the huge bonuses, I believe he had to take 60% of the offensive snaps. If that is still in play, there isn't much chance he will eclipse that as they are nearly 60% through the season and he never got more than a handful of snaps in a game. In about a week or two, it will almost be a mathematical impossibility unless he starts rattling off a bunch of sustained 15 play drives the rest of the year. Unlikely IMO, considering his track record of three and outs. Anyone taking a risk on him could easily bench him if they are worried about the money. Happens all the time in sports. That is, unless he for some reason goes on a tear, in which case, he's worth every penny.
Probably b/c he's not a starting calibar QB? Let's look. Phins- Tannehill Bills- Fitz for now, probably draft their Qb this year. Pats- Brady Colts- Luck Texans- Schaub Titans- Locker/Hass Jags- Gabbert, ok this is one spot he COULD start. Chiefs- Cassel/Quinn but probably draft one. Broncos- Peyton/Brock Raiders- Palmer for now. Chargers- Rivers Bengals- Dalton Browns- Weeden, but who knows if their new FO sticks with him and no they won't bring in Tebow. Steelers- Big Ben Ravens- Flacco Panthers- Newton Bucs- Freeman Falcons- Ryan Saints- Brees Cowboys- Romo Eagles- Foles/Vick Giants- Eli Skins- RG3 Packers- Rodgers Bears- Cutler Lions- Stafford Vikes- Ponder Rams- Bradford Seahawks- Wilson Niners- Kaepernick/Smith Cardinals- Skelton/Kolb but possibly get a QB in the draft. Cards and Jags are places he could go. Sorry, basically every team has someone right now.
Because when a team owns a player's contract he as a football player belongs to them and that team can exercise the right to sit that player and make him sit all 16 games of the season without needing to provide any justification whatsoever. TEAM > player
That is the point of part 1. Dispelling the myth that 32 teams in the nfl took a pass on him. In reality being as generous as possible only a handful were in any kind of position to take him or any other quarter back. Even the two you picked have some issues Jags - Invested in their 1st round draft pick Cardinals - gave kolb a big bag a money recently
They might all have someone right now, but believe me, if other teams thought Tebow was half as good as many give him credit for... (like inspiring a 1-4 team to turn it around and get to the playoffs... ) believe me, NO team is that far invested in their question marks under center to not take a chance on someone who allegedly has sky high potential. If they were believers, they'd take him in a second, ESPECIALLY since it will cost next to nothing to get him. look at Seattle... paid all that to get Flynn and ended up starting their rookie instead. Woudln't be the first time a team abandoned an expensive investment for someone they thought was better.
I think you're close, but not quite there. For the Jets, I'm pretty sure it's Headlines>Rex's press conferences>Sanchez's psyche/feelings>Team>Wins>Tebow
