Good start cutting people. They should cut pace as well. Or at least pace's playing time.I read on ESPN that he took 90% defense snaps sunday.
Bell's a replacement for the concussed Powell, nothing more. He can catch the ball out of the backfield well, but can Sanchez get him the ball? Probably not. Our inability to execute a screen pass is laughable. He'll be here two or three weeks and be shown the door. Jets Logic.
For anyone interested. Kahlil bell 5"11 220 pounds Undrafted from UCLABell was signed to the Chicago Bears' practice squad on September 16, 2009. He was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster on November 20, 2009, to replace an injured Garrett Wolfe. His first NFL carry on November 22, 2009 was a 72-yard run against the Philadelphia Eagles on NBC Sunday Night Football.[2] This is a modern NFL record for longest first carry of a career. His first NFL touchdown was a 25-yard reception against the Seattle Seahawks on December 18, 2011. In 2011, after an injury to Matt Forté and Marion Barber, Bell became the starting running back for the Week 16 and 17 games against the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings after beating out undrafted rookie Armando Allen. Bell also played in the Bears loss against the Denver Broncos.[3] Bell and backup quarterback Josh McCown both generated more than 400 yards in the Packers game. Bell would record 121 on 23 attempts, and caught 4 passes for 38 yards.[4] In 2012, Bell became an unrestricted free agent, and the Bears extended a qualifying offer to him, which he accepted on April 14, 2012.[5] The contract was worth one-year and $1.26 million. He was waived on August 23, 2012 when he refused to have his contract reduced to $700,000.[6] He was re-signed by the Bears on September 15, 2012 after starting running back Matt Forte went down with an injury.[7] Bell was later waived on October 15.
Desperate times....Mr. T must have just realized the offense doesn't have a 3rd down back. Or that Shonn Greene is about as fast as E. Smith. Odds Kahlil Bell gets cut again within the next 2 weeks?
Maybe they are planning on bringing in Ray Edwards? Seems odd that they'd cut one of our faster OLBs. He didn't do squat this year, though, so you can't really blame em.
so i assume that mcknight will be out at least a few weeks. dear fellow fans who wanted so bad for maybin to be a great player. have more realistic visions. i hope the guy picks up somewhere he seems like a nice enough guy who just cant seem to play football very well. i wish him the best in his future.
Ian Rapoport @RapSheet #Awkward RT @KMart_LI: Hearing Aaron Maybin showed up at the #Jets Food Bank charity event today, then got the call and left. #nyj
Dead weight. We have too much of that on the roster as it is. Vaya Con Dios Senor Maybin. We hardly knew ye..
Seemed nice at the Jets fundraiser I went to but nice doesn't keep a roster spot. No production at all this year. Definitely prefer Bell over Slaton and his injury history. e: Also, @BrianCoz Source: Isaiah Trufant was placed on season-ending IR
they should have given sparano the door as well.he was a joke with dolphins and he is a joke with jets.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA lmao at all you clowns with your claims last offseason. Hate to say I told you so. Wait, no I dont.
