where do you get 6 years from? Alex smith had very solid years in his 4th and 5th season(80+ qb rating, low turnovers, 60% completions). and he had an excellent sixth season(90 qb rating, 17-5 TD:int ratio). his first three years as a starter he struggled, he missed alot of games to injury and had 3 different offenses/OC's. but years 4/5/6 he was hardly hopeless. he was actually pretty good. and light years ahead of what sanchez has shown in year 4
that has to go both ways. if you are going to credit mark for "leading us to wins" in 2010 you have to fault him for "leading us to losses" in a horrible collapse in 2011.
Hill doing jumping jacks in end zone.. Here is a article on how bad sanchez stares down his recievers.. This is horrible. Just horrible.... http://network.yardbarker.com/all_sports/article_external/stephen_hill_does_jumping_jacks_in_end_zone_while_mark_sanchez_throws_interception/12190936
Sanchez hasn't realized that the pump fake draws the defender to where you are staring. What happens is that he stares down his target & then pump fakes (at least once) to the same exact receiver he is planning to throw the ball to. Then the receiver & defender get together & just waits there until Sanchez delivers the ball. Just imagine how pissed both of them have to be after fighting for position & then realizing it was all for nothing then some big DL knock the ball down ... again.
Sanchez fucked up terribly on that play, but Hill would've dropped the ball anyway - so who cares. I do now see He's better at jumping jacks than catching footballs, add it to the list...
agreed. Even if he had all pro receivers, when he throws high and they have to stretch for it, they will get creamed and hurt. The guy is too inaccurate to be an NFL passer.
I don't care about fantasy stats. a year ago he had just 3 fewer TDs, 2 mroe INTs and led his team to 1 less win than Eli Manning- was he anywhere near as good as Eli last year? of course not so save your fantasy #s for someone else. Mark was vital to us reaching 2 title games, vital to us winning 11 games in 2010- I don't care what the #s say. Last year untilt he last 3 games he had good #s but wasn't nearly as good as 2010. This year he has no chance w/ everything around him. The man can play, he has proven that. I am not giving up on him. Name me 12 QBs better than Mark in 2010. I do give him part of the blame, I never said he didnt' deserve blame. I just don't give him all the blame when the entire team stunk. one still shot cannot tell you everything especially since he is throwing the ball in that shot and defenders have moved around. he was looking in that direction most of that play until he came back to the right and threw the INT.
That's not fair. How many did braylon drop? He still is wide open. You throw it no matter what. He was staring down keller like he owed him money..
You strike me as the kind of guy who thinks that David Eckstein should've been an all-star in the MLB.
Hill dropped 1 open pass, a crucial one but still, his other "drops" have been in coverage not really a bad thing for a raw rookie WR, still if Mark hits him right at 84 then we're fine we still lose so nothing to bitch about
@ NYJunc So how long are you willing to not lay any blame whatsoever on mark?? I know your a real fan and real fans don't ever give up on there players. Players do regress. It happens. New York deserves better than this. You compare him to eli a lot. But a least eli can throw down field when his running game is not going well.Eli has 2 SB's and is barely elite. How long can you hang your hat on 2 AFCCG's?
THIS! Pump fakes are usually to a WR you dont plan on throwing it to. They are to soften the coverage on the other WRs. Not the one you are looking at -unless its a fly route.
