Whoever decided to acquire Tebow over the off-season is responsible for a solid dozen penalties and unfortunate timeouts at this point. Whatever else you think is going on that point is crystal clear.
Agreed. No matter what happens with the Jets, I think Rex has shown enough to always have DC job whenever he wants. If Jets continue to go down in flames, I think Rex & his brother will both be blocked from HC jobs in the future.
SportsCenter @SportsCenter Via @ESPNNFL: Mark Sanchez leads league w/5 games in which he's had a completion rate BELOW 50% this season (min. 10 attempts/game).
Wonder how many more below 50% games he'll gave before the season ends. I'd put the over/under @ 7 for the season.
For the love of all things football - BENCH HIM. I wouldn’t care if Krusty the Clown was our backup. BENCH HIM! Its hard to even root for him anymore because now I worry if he makes one good throw Rex will start him for the next 4 games. BENCH HIM. It’s been way too long since we have seen someone lead our offense that wasn’t a hang dog loser. Every week that Sanchez starts is another week the NFL laughs at us for being clueless. He has earned the bench. Grow a pair Rex and BENCH HIM!
That redzone interception he threw.. He pumped faked the ball like 3 times before he threw it and keller and the DB were waiting for it.. Who pump fakes the same direction 3 times?? The DB was just sittin there waiting for it.
In some ways.. probably. The use of the Tebow packages has caused confusion. We waste a lot of timeouts for personnel issues, and guys aren't sure where they are supposed to be, that can extend to snap counts. So no it isn't Tebow's fault, but the use of a random package like that by the staff can increase the likelihood of formation/procedure penalties.
i have my issues with everything about the tebow trade. but i have to blame the meatball sparano for the penalties. how can we be sitting here past half way through the season and the offense still has no idea what is going on when tebow comes in? how does that happen? there are only 15 fucking plays for him and we only run 4 of those.... how could it possibly be any easier?
Around 100 AD there was a Greek Astronomer name Ptolemy. He came up with a geocenetric model of the Universe in which the Earth was at the center, and all other bodies, including the Sun revolved around it. This was known as The Ptolemaic Model. In order to make this model work, he had the Sun and Planets moving in unnatural ways, appearing to slow down, stop, and even seem to move backwards at some points. In order to explain this unnatural motion, he came up with a very intricate sysytem of movement which he explained using things called deferents and epicyclyes. Its very complicated, but you can look it up. Of course he was completely wrong, and the much simpler explanation ... and also the actual truth, was that the Sun was at the center of our solar system, and the planets moved in very simple, logical orbits around it. There was really no reason to jump through hoops and invent ways to make his theory work, other than the fact that he wanted it to be true. He wanted the Earth to be at the center, and he was going to find a way to make it look that way. You remind me of that guy. Enough of the ridiculous numbers, half-assed logic and convoluted explanations as to why Sanchez isn't really a terrible QB. Just accept the fact that the man SUCKS. He can't play the position. It's very simple and it's the way it is. All anyone has to do is use their eyes and accept what they see in front of them.
I cant defend Sanchez for his blatant mistakes, but I cant emphasize how much not having any help is hurting him. Hes not Peyton Manning, guys like Peyton and Brees could probably work with this talent, but Sanchez cant and 75% of NFL QBs couldnt either. He has no one, just compare him to what Dalton is working with for example. Daltons got a deep threat that can wreck defenses, Mark does not have that at all. Our run game is horrendous, I blame mark, but I blame Tanny more for not giving him help. He needs a run game period. I understand we all wanted him to be a QB that would be pass first, but thats not mark. We can succeed with a run game and Mark as QB, weve seen it.
Sanchez is terrible. Anyone who is still defending Sanchez is being stupid or dense at this point. Anyone who doesn't want Sanchez benched is being stupid or dense Anyone who thinks that Tebow/McElroy can possibly do worse than Sanchez is freaking retarded.
well played, ill bet that if ptolemy was still alive he would still defend his logiski (thats polish logic)
show me how many guys that "can't play" have helped their team to multiple conf title games? back to back, won 4 ROAD playoff games, knocked off hottest teams in conference 2 straight years in div rd in a tough AFC. This isn't the AFC of the 80s or 90s, we won 4 ROAD playoff games w/ him(2nd most all time), you don't do that w/ poor QB play. Is he playing poorly? obviously but it's not all him, he has no help.
