This is a direct depiction of What typical Jets shit looks like. Now the Next step in this process is Shotty looks like a genius next week and drop 48 on us.

I felt schotty got more blame than he deserved. He had his boneheaded moments but overall he was a solid oc.

Schotty was still terrible and did not go after opposing D's weaknesses but just because we hired an inept coordinator in place of an inept coordinator doesn't make the previous coordinator somehow "vindicated"....it just shows Tannebaum/Woody are making some awful, awful personnel hiring.

Lets not rewrite history when it comes to Schotty...he was terribly flawed and was stubborn often in his views and in some games he did not adjust properly despite being given full reigns by Rex, Mangini and company.

Shotty did have his good Jet Moments , but he Constantly Called Play that defied the situation time and again. How many time can you remember needing 6 or 8 yards and then the three receiver set he runs has them all running routes short of the first down marker. Ya know, the Quarter back play also lent to Shotties demise here as our O coordinator.

Just because Sparano and we look bad this season on offense doesn't by any stretch of the imagination take away the fact that Schotty's play calling still sucked.

Brian Schottenheimer is a good OC and we ran him out of town b/c we needed a scapegoat. His O put up 24 pts at SF yesterday, we put up 0 at home.

The JETS fired an Offensive coordinator that over complicated things to the point of fooling his own team...... and replaced him with someone so bland and predictable that he's only fooled JETS fans...... into thinking he'd be worth half a shit

Im not saying Schotty was good but I was one of the ones, as junc cant testify :), that dodnt wanna kill the guy. POint is, there were dozens on this board that thought simply by firing Schotty, we would win 3 or 4 more gsmes. I hope theose people now realize how retarded that was.

We still have no talent, we still have no head coach and we still have no QB. It was about 20% on schotty

there is always a fall guy. sadly many of the posters chose the wrong guy.

while it was time for schottenheimer to move on he wasnt the root cause of the issue. yet so many blindly just bashed the guy going far far out of their way to find things to bash him on.

well hes gone, the new guy is probably worse than him and we still have a useless piece of shit for a qb.

Brian was part of the trusted brain trust that drafted Sanchez. He was scapegoated. He should have had an opportunity to be fired by the new GM along with Rex and Pettine.

The moral of the story is...don't fire someone until you have someone BETTER to replace him with.

Same thing holds for Sanchez. He sucks but I assure you there are worse starting QB's and as a Jet fan I remember them starting for our team.

he reached 2 title games w/ Mark Sanchez, Makr has never looked worse than this season- part of that is lack of talent but he has never looked worse.

The Rams have the 24th ranked offense at this point. It's not like Schotty went there and actually turned them into a good offense. He did what he does best and just kind of smoothed things out enough for them to be consistently mediocre. It's what he does.

If Norv Turner had taken over that offense they'd be top half of the league easily at this point with Sam Bradford rounding into form and Stephen Jackson still having some life in his legs.

Schotty just doesn't fundamentally understand what the function of an NFL offense is. The job is to go out there and kick ass and run up the score so the other team has to abandon their game plan and play from behind. Instead Schotty puts on a ballet for the fans to watch and the games are closer than they need to be and when he's off his team gets it's teeth kicked in, frequently in ways that just astound the masses.

Wow it's a fucking retard parade in here all of a sudden. Nothing can possibly change the hard fact that Brian Schottenheimer is totally worthless piece of shit.

So your position is that Schottenheimer was a decent to good OC who made Mark Sanchez, a bad QB, look better than he was?

    Good. We are in agreement

i dont know, sanchez did lead the NFL in turnovers last season and was the main reason for an epic collapse.

Sanchez looked like garbage last season as well. Schotty sucked regardless of Sanchez.
