He sure sucked yesterday but again we saw a million drops and the awful tebow package ruining any momentum we get. It's not just him but he was brutal yesterday.
The best QBs meaning Eli, Brady, Peyton, Brees and Rodgers. Too bad Rodgers couldn't elevate those hands of his wide receivers in the playoffs last year. Anyways, besides that the key to improving your QB play is to improve your team. You surround him with weapons and keep on plugging away. It's what teams without eltie QBs do, something we have to do. We haven't done that, we don't have an elite QB, we have a below average team. You can't deplete talent hoping the QB cancels it out. Yepppp
Troy Aikman was benched then went to the hall of fame, Kurt Warner was benched then went to another superbowl everyone acts like getting benched is the end of the particular QB , it's not it's part of sports.
Sadly, Mark Sanchez isn't in the class of either guy you just mentioned. He's a lot closer to Rick Mirer than Troy Aikman.
It got 2 first downs in 5 plays and another first down right after when Sanchez came back in ..... try again.....
These clowns admitted they were "mad" at the trading up because they assumed the Jets gave up a king's ransom, not the pick. Even if this team traded up for Stafford, they would suck.
i hate when people say "we dont have an elite qb" as if their are only 2 tiers of quarterbacks and sanchez is in the other one with the other 26 starters. the reality is, sanchez is the worst of the worst. even when he has had good skill players around him, he has sucked. he sucked with edwards and holmes, he sucked with holmes and plax. he sucks now. great players might make him look below average, but it still wont be enough. you cant win in this league with a guy who turns it over that much and who misses that many throws.
wasn't his fault but they lost 5 yds on the peanlty making it a very difficult 3rd down(just like when it was his fault at Miami and he threw an INt the next play as well). Let's look at his plays from yesterday: 2nd and 10, tebow comes in and gains 1 yd on a PASS setting us up in 3rd and 9. 2nd and 6, 5 yd pass. Good 2nd and 4, 3 yd run 3rd and 1, 3 yd run but AGAIN we had to burn a TO b/c of confusion but those plays were good. false start on 3rd and G from 1 seting up 3rd and G from 6 1st and 10, 2 yds. 2nd and 1 throws 2 yd pass. of 6 plays on the field 3 were positive and 3 were negative, longest gain was 5 yds. These plays are not helping us other than confusing the O and taking Sanchez out of ryhthm.
Ok , as i said in another thread its inconsequential and Sanchez does not go out of rhythm because his QB rating is higher after " the unmentionable one's" plays
Russel wilson outplayed him by a mile. Sanchez just needs another (________) years to progress now that we fired shotty, the real reasin for his sucking.
I cannot remember a Jets quarterback looking so pathetic and a Jets offense looking so inept in my life. This is the first time in my life as a Jets fan where I go into games thinking that the Jets not scoring a single point on offensive is a high probability. They have proven this twice this year. Sanchez is finished. And I have to believe the Jets players who keep chanting the mantra "mark is our quarterback" are either lying about how they feel or are just stupid. I don't think I've ever seen a quarterback look this bad week after week. This is truly a disgrace to professional football. Mark Sanchez is in Jamarcus Russel territory right now.
thats what it is, schotty hangover! he should be over it by next year and be able to start anew with his same receivers because that is the most important thing to have that continuity... yeah we are gonna win the fucking super bowl next year!!!!!
I'm honestly starting to despise Mark Sanchez. He is a good 70 percent of the reason why Rex, a decent head coach, will most likely be fired. He also contributes a good 80% of the Jets' losses, and maybe 10% of the Jets' wins. There is no other player on our team who is so instrumental in our losses and so insignificant in our wins. He's probably the reason why our GM will be getting fired as well (though honestly, Tanny has made some dumb-ass decisions).
I don't know if that stat is correct or not but let's look at the plays after Tebow: Buf: 1st and 10, Tebow gains 4 yds. 2nd and 6 Sanchez throws 12 yd TD to Kerley 1st and 10 Tebow gains 3 2nd and 7 Sanchez throws 33 yd TD to Hill 2nd and 6, no gain. 3rd and 6 sanchez completes 5 yd pass 1st and 10, 3 yd run by Tebow 2nd and 6 Greene 4 yd run 1st and G at 7, 1 yd gain Greene 5 yd run 2 positive plays for Sanchez. The 1st was after a 4 yd run setting up 2nd and 6- a good situation to be in. The 2nd was 2nd and 7 not a bad situation. post tebow vs. Buf he was 3-3, 50 yds, 2 TDs- do you think this game skews the rest of the season at all? Let's find out. at Pitt: 1st and 10, 22 yd run McKnight 12 yd run 0-0 at Mia: 2nd and G from Mia 2, loses 5 yds. 3rd and 7 INT 0-1, INT vs. SF: 1st and 10, Tebow 2 yd run 2nd and 8, Greene 3 yds 3rd and 1, complete pass and fumble 1st and 10, Tebow loses 2 yds 2nd and 12, 4 yd pass, Holmes fumble 1-1, 4 yds vs. Hou: 2nd and 10, tebow incomplete 3rd and 10, Sanchez incomplete 4th and 1, tebow 3 yd gain 1st and 10, sanchez incomplete 1st and 10, 3 yd gain 2nd and 7, Powell for 3 yds 1st and 10, tebow for 13 yds 1st and G from Hou 3, Tebow no gain 2nd and G from 3 Sanchez incomplete 1st and 10, no gain for Tebow 2nd and 10, Sanchez incomplete 0-4, 0 yds vs. Indy: 1st and 10, Tebow for 3 2nd and 7, Greene for 21 3rd and 1, Tebow 3 yds 1st and G from 5, Sanchez TD 3rd and 5, Tebow no gain 2nd and G from Indy 3, 1 yd 3rd and G from 2, Greene TD 1-1, 5 yds, TD at NE: 2nd and 10, 3 yd run by Tebow 3rd and 7, Sanchez 26 yd pass 3rd and 2, 3 yd run 1st and G Greene TD 1st and 10, Tebow 4 yds 2nd and 6, Sanchez incomplete 1-2, 26 yds vs. Mia: 1st and 10, Tebow for 2 2nd and 8, Sanchez incomplete 0-1, 0 yds at Sea: 2nd and 10, 1 yd pass 3rd and 9, 10 yd pass 2nd and 6, 5 yd pass 0 yd run 2nd 4 & 3rd 1 , 3 yd gains by Tebow 1st and 10, 43 yd pass 1st and 10, 2 yds 2nd and 8, incomplete 2nd and 1, 2 yds 1st and 10 run 2nd and 5 1st down, 6 yd run 1st and 10 run 3rd and G from 1, false start 3rd and G from 6, INT 2-4, 53, 1 INT total: 8-17, 47%, 138 yds, 3 TDs, 2 INTs, 75 rating let's take out the Buf game: 5-14, 36%, 85 yds, 1 TD, 2 ints, 41.3 rating so do we trust 1 game or 8 games?
lol nyjunc you just pick whatever argument makes Sanchez look better Remember when you said Sanchez' poor completion % in games against good pass Ds was due to not having Keller as opposed to facing better pass Ds? I wonder what the problem is now...
its amazing isnt it. and he puts alot of time and effort into each and every one of his absurd thoughts. i dont even bother reading his posts anymore. its easier, as he will never ever say your right he will just spin it another way.
