Quite the opposite. He said he believes they could win games with Tebow as well. I think it was shot over the bow to the front office.
Is their WR corp worse than our injured one? Is their running game, specifically the RB worse than ours? Our Oline is better, or should be, but the G and RT positions don't inspire confidence
I think Rex can't say the backup is worse because he was forced on the team by the owner. I wonder if Rex refusal to play him will be the very thing that causes him to be fired by said owner?
Schein made a good point. Does anyone really think that Woody allows the Jets to go into that home game on Thanksgiving at 3-7 with Mark Sanchez at QB? If the Jets lose next week, I can't fathom Sanchez playing in that game on Thanksgiving.
Yes, our WR corp with Keller is better than St. Louis, who also has lost key people to injury. I would take Greene over Jackson right now, but it is hard to evaluate with the line of St Louis. Greene is running quite well in recent weeks. I believe Hill is much better with an average QB who would take advantage of his measurables.
I don't mind criticism of Sanchez one way or the other. I'm over standing up for Sanchez until he steps it up - if he ever does. The guy deserves plenty of criticism. Ray Lucas' smug critique is what I am talking about. I don't have any examples because I didn't tivo or memorize his language.
Rex could actually save face by Woody trying to force an in game move on him. If Rex refuses and Woody cans him, Rex could say, higher ups attempted to run the game and I won't allow that. He keeps going down this road, it may be quite a while before he's given another HC opportunity if the Jets cut him loose at years end.
Speak of statistics, how many possessions has this Jet O gone without a TD? How many quarters? If I had to choose all 11 starters off one team, I'd go with the Rams. Pretty sure a lot of non-Jet fans would do the same.
And I still believe if Parcells hadn't held on with Mirer for so long Lucas would have taken the Jets to the playoffs. We only missed by a game and we lost to some bad teams under Mirer. I'd take their QB and RB over ours... let's also add that Jeff Fisher is an elite coach while Rex is a good coach.
"I got greedy going for the TD, should've taken the FG and moved on" on the fumble "I need to just take the sack and move on to the next down"... Answers that are fine for a first year Qb, by the fourth year you're a veteran and the answers are just no good anymore.
I saw these on twitter too: Jane McManus @janesports Mark Sanchez: "We can't win with the way I played today. I've got to take care of the ball better and help us." #Jets #NFL Jane McManus @janesports Sanchez postgame on @SNY: "I got to play better than that so that's on me." #Jets #NFL Jane McManus @janesports Mark Sanchez: "We can't win with the way I played today. I've got to take care of the ball better and help us." #Jets #NFL Jane McManus @janesports Mark Sanchez asked about if Jets can still make a run: "...I know we can do it and it starts with me." #NFL #Jets 54m Manish Mehta @MMehtaNYDN Sanchez on Rex sticking w/him as starter: "That never really crossed my mind. I'm too confident for that. I don't expect anything different"
The worst i have ever seen Rex at a presser. Unacceptable his responses had no validity. Gut feeling?
Again answers that are fine for a first year QB, after 4 years we really don't want to hear it anymore.
