You said Ray Lucas played in the NFL, at the 1% level, and as a result is free of criticism from me, a nobody on my CPU. So how is Sanchez, who plays in the NFL at the 1% level, not free of criticism from you on your CPU? Before you get confused - I am not addressing Sanchez right now, I am addressing your argument.
First Ray was a qb at Rutgers and was picked up by Parcelks to be play mostly special teams and emergency quarterback. He was trusted into playing qb for the jets the year vinny went down and Rick Mier was utter garbage. Ray was not a superstar but he was far from a scrub.
He's being fake. An he needs to stop saying "Self inflicting wounds" he probably doesn't even know what it means.
Sorry but Rex owes it to the fanbase as to what the reasoning is to continue starting Sanchez. to just say "because I said so" comes off as arrogant. Use some logic and reason as to why you feel Sanchez gives you the best chance to win, the guy is statistically the worst QB in the league. How does starting him after these disasters give you the best chance to win? Maybe it's true but at least form an argument other than "I said so"...
That's not quite accurate, Listening to Ryan talk up Sanchez after another crap performance is like watching the band play when the Titanic went down. All rah rah crap while the ship is sinking around him.
Read what I said again. Where did I say he played in the NFL at the top 1% level? I said he was an NFL QB, which makes him a top 1% level athlete. A failed NFL QB (as you described him) is still a world class athlete. My point is he can critique Sanchez better than you or I. He's earned the right as an actual NFL QB, not a non NFL player sitting at a computer like you (or me for that matter). You said Lucas' made his criticism of Sanchez personal. I'm asking you to quote where his critique became personal. You can't. His criticism is harsh, yet accurate. You just don't like it.
One has to think Rex is on borrowed time. That being said, - other GMs (and any future GMs) are taking note that he is the kind of coach who resists any change due to ridiculous loyalty & therefore not worthy of being handed the reins of any team in the future.
because he can't say" the other guy is worse" that said. i can't believe how fast this team went to hell. time to blow shit up and start all over.................again
If Rex doesn't do something soon to re-establish his credentials outside of the Jet Organization, he's not gonna be a HC in the NFL for quite some time. He'll get plenty jobs as a DC, but not everyone is cut out to be a HC. Oh, those two BACK TO BACK AFCCG LOSSES only go so far.
