I really thought the kid had promise, especially after 2010, but Mark Sanchez has looked like shit. The problem is that Tebow looked as bad against 3rd & 4th string preseason guys as Sanchez had against the Steelers & Niners.....
obviously the jets are in a worse situation. sanchez is still starting and has been the worst qb in football.
who cares about preseason? especially when you have 15+ regular and postseason games to go on from last year that are 100 times more meaningful? there is a laundry list of guys who know work at home depot, shop rite, and walmart who looked good in preseason
Quarterbacks regress all the time. If a quarterback can't play decent football against 3rd string defenses in preseason in his 3rd season, there is an issue.
it is senseless to evaluate tebow on 50 preseason snaps in the 4th quarter of preseason games. he is playing against 3rd stringers, but he is also playing with 3rd stringers. either way, its a horrible evaluation tool when you have a 16 game sample and 400+ snaps to go on, in regular season against, playing with and against first stringers. as far as regression, im not sure how a 25 year old is going to regress in 5 months of offseason.
