You can overcome inaccuracy to a certain degree if you have big strike potential ... and the Giants have that. When you have to plod your way down the field like we do, it's paramount to be accurate with your throws in order to sustain drives and convert 3rd downs. That's the main reason Eli works for the Giants, and Sanchez is a disaster for the Jets. The same was true for Jim Plunkett and the Raiders back in the day ... long strikes.

You can't sustain many drives when half of your passes are sailing over or behind receivers, hitting the grass in front of them, or being thrown to the other team.

Not to mention that these guys are always falling down to catch the ball because it's never right on target - the YAC for the Jets receivers has to be the worst in the league for this reason alone.

This I agree with, but only in the context in which you are providing it. Kurt Warner is like the all-time leader in completion % and that's mostly because he would throw 5 yard slant patterns that his receivers would turn into 60 yard scores. I think Kurt Warner could be the most overrated but successful guy I've ever seen play. He sucked when he played in NY, and he sucked in AZ before he had Fitz and Boldin together. He was a monster when he had ridiculous talent around him, and a failure when he didn't.

So, yeah, completion % in a vacuum is an overrated stat. But Sanchez has no real excuse - I could care less about his completion % personally. I care much more about the fact that he is DUMB as an NFL QB and doesn't seem to have any leadership ability at all. Doesn't seem to command ANY respect from his teammates.

Dude, report to the transporter room, you are being beamed back to your own universe. The alternate one that you're in is confusing you.

And those wobbly ducks are getting caught 70% of the time.

Obviously, it's the result of the chemistry that comes with working with the same all-pro receivers year after year, unlike how the Jets have hampered Mark Sanchez.

not only do u have very little idea what ur talking about but also a little advice: dont talk about eli or the giants, it exposes ur ignorance and ur sad rationalizations

sanchez cant carry eli's jock and the giants are champions- the jets are nobodies

He is a projected 7th rounder, he is like Tebow except more fragile, and worse throwing mechanics.

id be THRILLED if sanchez was trent dilfer. we would be a much much better team if our QB wasnt a turnover machine and could complete 60% of his passes.

    much better.

I don't think they've been in the league that long.
And really...3 or 4 years should be enough to foster some chemistry.

Oh, by the way. Manning also improved his numbers from last year...unlike our quarterback.
Now... I'm not a stat guy or anything, but I'm pretty sure Manning played better than Sanchez last year.

Peyton Manning is the guy that you are using for comparison? The same QB who is arguably the greatest QB in NFL history?

Calm down. I'm just saying that Manning played better than Sanchez last season. I realize we have a new OC this year.

Are you talking about Peyton manning? You do know he didn't play last season right? You know the whole neck injury and the colts sucked for luck and etc....
