I think he's accurate enough, I don't think he dumps it off as much as most other QBs which affects comp %. Again, I'd rather a lower comp % and making plays to win than the other way around.
junc is hijacking yet another thread with his sophistry. I wonder why people bother paying any attention to him.
He's already proven he can so I wouldn't put him in the "can't" pile. every year he has new weapons, show me other QBs that have to go through that? 2009: Cotch, Braylon(4 games into the season), Stuckey, Keller 2010: Braylon, Holmes(4 games into season), Cotch, Keller 2011: Holmes, Kerley, Plax, Keller 2012: Holmes, Kerley, Hill, Keller, Schilens Only Keller has been consistent and he's missed most of this season, his #s w/ and w/o keller this year are startling. He's also had no run game and a shaky OL the last 2 seasons. These are things beyond his control, w/ all that he had us a game out of the playoffs last year and we have half a season to go despite losing our best playmaker on O and our best player on D(or O).
It doesn't matter who his weapons are, when he's missing people by 6 feet, losing the ball every time he takes a hit, and throwing passes to the opposing team. When there are plays to be made he needs to make them, and too many tmes he shits the bed. How many other QBs in the league find a way to NOT turn that Cromartie pass into a TD against Houston? Just one example of a game changing play he blew. Same goes for the Hill INT against NE. Or the overthrown pass to Shillens against Miami Or the overthown pass to a wide open McKnight streaking down the sidelines in the must-win Giant game last year. Eli makes that pass 90% of the time. Sanchez misses it 90% of the time. And that's the difference between winning and losing.
Corners and Safeties all over the league are starting to complain that Sanchez is ruining their INT and TD stats. They're texting the guy, begging him to improve his accuracy just a little bit so that they have at least somewhat of a shot at the ball. It isn't fair to opposing defenses.
Unfortunately we can't run and we don't have good weapons to throw to. Just don't turn it over and we'll have chances to win.
lol they don't design screens or passes in the flat for Sanchez because he is terrible at throwing them accurately. It actually might be his worst pass
You are STILL going on about this? Seriously, give it a break. 2009 vs 2010 proves this point wrong and it's already been demonstrated several times in the thread. The fact that you ignore this speaks volumes about your true intentions. We ran it like crazy in 2009, and in 2010 the team was MORE successful with BALANCED rush and passing attempts for the year. Oops! Somebody failed to make a valid point!
