I'm not arguing the 2nd meetup will look anything like the first. I'm saying the Jets looked bad during that game and the games that followed it. The Dolphins on the other hand have played teams tough. Their rookie QB is out playing our 4yr QB. Like I said its winnable but nothing I'd put money on.
I'm concerned about the Colt's game. Worrying about Miami before we play the Colts is crazy. Let's play one game at a time.
I'd agree. The Colts are more in our league but that being said we will be fighting tooth and nail for wins from here on out against any team. Didn't the Colts beat Greenbay?
Wow, that's an early start. Last time around my logic said that we would lose a close game. Unfortunately my logic won over my heart. But the Dolphins will give the Jets a run for their money for sure. I couldn't even predict the game yet as it is 2 1/2 weeks away and injuries could change an outcome every week. I can't say much about the Jets. I have seen two games (vs us and the Texan game). So my opinion is simply based on the Dolphins. I personally didn't expect much this season starting a rookie QB and with no true downfield receiver. But if I look at game one (vs Houston) and compare it to now the learning curve was steep. Even from the Jets game to now (2 games) the Dolphins improved significantly. Tannehill has proven to be a starter and he will be a good one. His ratings still suffer from the early troubles but the only thing I see is that he does not make the same mistake again. He learns from game to game. The last game reminded me of Pennington with a stronger arm. Precision, perfect and mistake-free football. No TDs but no mistakes. Technically the game against Cincy was closer by score than it should have been. Until the 4th quarter we dominated them offensively and defensively. And Carpenter miss another FG. The last meeting between us was a game where I feel I that our fortune turned. Dolphins are a year away from the playoffs. Another offseason should do that. But we will be a spoiler this year. I sure look forward to another great and close game in 2 weeks but first up is St Louis and then the bye-week.
how did that gimmie game workout for us? i continue to be amazed by how our fansoverrate this team... hell alot of people here still have us beating seattle on the road
I hate idiots like you. "OH OUR TEAM LOST! LOOK HOW RIGHT I WAS!!!" Shut up, already. You should be pissed off you were right, not reveling in it like you're some sort of Nostradamus or football expert, because truthfully you're neither.
it doesnt take an expert to evaluate things. if it walks like a duck and sounds like a duck, then its a duck. and we walk and sound like a bad team. what makes it worse is when fans/media try and hype it up and sert unreal expectations
I have the shallow comfort of having my opinions validated by my team losing. I can't claim to predict the future but I can accurately assess my team. The Jets are at the soft part of their schedule. Let's see how they do against weaker teams.
Most of the remaining teams on our schedule aren't playoff caliber (bills, jags, rams, Seahawks, titans, cardinals). This is where we have the best chance of finding some wins. No gimmies just better odds. We're bad and so are they let's see who's worse.
The Jets have had 4 top 10 picks under this regime. Meet Dewayne Robertson, D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Vernon Gholston and Mark Sanchez. Not a single great player in the group and at least 2 that left town labeled as busts and a 3rd on the way. I'd much rather the Jets have a mid-round pick. They've found Santana Moss, Jonathan Vilma, and Darrelle Revis in the 11 to 20 range with only Quinton Coples in the undecided category at this point. Not to mention I don't want to live through a 4-12/5-11 hell just to watch beer goggles in action again.
