so you comparing Woody's run as owner where we have been one of the best organizations in the AFC to the Giants of the 70s who went 18 years w/o a playoff app?

I beg Woody not to listen to nitwit, impatient fans just like the Giants didn't when the fans called for Eli and Coughlin to go.

Interesting. I want him to be successful in the NFL, I think he is a good kid with good sense, and good talent, but I just can't see him as a difference maker. I see him as slightly above Colt McCoy, but not a game changer. He could do well enough if all the pieces were in place, but not any better than than the next guy.

I hope I'm wrong and he does great. I like what I have seen and heard about him.

Assuming the front office was competent, I'd completely agree. But given the fact that its amateur hour at Floral Park, it's time to move on.

Some day the light bulb will go off in your head that the crux of the problem is Woody. In case U never led a business if the head honcho is a knucklehead then the whole organization below him suffers as well

This is laughable. At no time have the Jets ever been one of the best organizations in the AFC, their division, or hell, even their own city.

If Woody Johnson truly wants the Tim Tebow Experience, he needs to get rid of Rex Ryan and Mark Sanchez this offseason and pry Josh McDaniels away from New England.

Yes that is exactly why we have won NOTHING since 01/12/69 because we are one of the most outstanding organizations in the NFL. Junc always forgets that most important fact

Just vote for Obama because if he gets elected, Woody will shoot himself. That's my motivation for re-electing the man. Seriously, Woody is not making the money he expected to from the PSL's. Dark days ahead for the Jets, we are no longer players in the free agent game so our GM will have to draft really well. Like I said....

Here's some problems with this post.

Mike T hires coaches and takes alot of input from them in what type of players they want. He is not the only voice in the room. Rex himself said we took Coples becasue he likes bigger guys along the Dline as opposed to a Chandler Jones type. Mike has always leaned on his coaches this way. Almost any top of the line GM is going to want his own coaching staff. If we can Mike T you are loking at a first time GM or blowing the whole thing up. How often does that happen to the Giants, Steelers, Ravens, or Packers? Next to never. How well did football guys like Holmgren, Ditka, or Matt Millen do running a team themself? There is more to the GM job than the draft and free agency.

Is scouting part of the problem? Maybe. How do you not only determin who are the best scouts money can buy but convince them to leave thier current positions? No every guy is going to chase the dollar to NY if he is well paid and happy where he is. NY is a big market with big pressure. Some may like the more friendly local media surronding teams like Pitt, Baltimore, or Greenbay.

Why would Chad want to become a full time QB coach in the NFL. If he wanted and NFL coaching job he would have one. He's said before that he wanted to step away and spend more time with his family. Nothing is more time intensive than an NFL coaching gig.

Fans rarely boycott games. The last one I remember was after the Sabers fired ten nolan follwign thier cup run becaseu Hasek and he could not get along. I was a season ticket hold and went to the game, it was errily quiet and maybe half filled, but most of the season tick holders were there and I would expect most Jets season ticket holders would laugh at boycotting a game they had already paid for.

Woody has done a lot of good things for the team. Dumped millions into a first class training facility, helped build a new stadium after politics in NY kept him from building a team back in the city. Its not for lack of trying on his end that the team looked listless in the last game. That one falls aquarely on a shitty job coaching. We came out flat and never got going.

    Bal: 8
    NYJ: 6SD: 5
    Den: 5
    Ten: 5
    Oak: 3
    KC: 3

5th out of 16 teams isn't one of the best? do yourself a favor and check out we we ranked from 1960-1999 and let me know what you find.

By the way, we were the best team in our City 2 of the last 3 seasons.

& what did those 6 PO appearances get us. When are you going to realize that we have been to this date LOSERs since 01/12/69. Why do U not post that up to today since we started as the NYTs in 1960 we still have a overall record of under 500. In your humble opinion is that the lineage of a outstanding organization?

Love that line that Woody will shoot himself if Obama is reelected. Certainly hope it comes thru. In case U R interested I decided to donate to the Red Cross what it would have cost me to go to St. Louis for the NYJ game there as I feel that the Red Cross would have far better things to do with the money then a field trip to see a FB game.

So the Patriots have been losers for almost a decade as well, right?

The Packers are losers because they haven't won a Super Bowl in a year.

The Steelers are losers because it has been 4 years since they won a Super Bowl.

by your logic, every team is a loser every year except the previous Super Bowl winner. you can certainly adhere to that asinine, extreme position but you would be the only one.

Lets C now 1969 until 2011 that is 42 years or 4 decades + 2 years & yes the only thing that matters in sports is winning CHAMPIONSHIPs just ask your NYYs fans if that is not a fact. As time goes on U will begin to realize how important it is for your team to be WORLD CHAMPION now & then

As I've pointed out to you before, if only being the very best is good and everything else failure, you must be a huge failure in life. Thats a rough road to live. So hows failure as a man, father, and husband treating you, or are you #1 in the world at all of those?

These is success outside of super bowl victories for a fan that is not a complete mental case.

not the point. your position is completely dependent on the criteria that not winning a championship equates to the franchise being losers, which means every franchise but one, regardless of any other level of success, is a loser franchise every year.

it is just an outright stupid claim.

Sorry when it comes to sports in my world winning is the only thing as a wise man once said (I think VL). IMHO U & others of your ilk are deluding yourself if U do not also accept that credo
