There are some very small towns that are going to get rocked, my friends dad is a cop in Lavalette and he heard reports that Joey Harrison's Surf Club is gone. That's in Ortley, a ton of the boardwalk in Seaside is gone. Island Heights, Ocean Gate and Gull Island are going to be underwater. Fortunately Island Heights has a large hill that leads down from 37 into the Bay but they have a small boardwalk that will surely suffer some damage. I've seen pictures of Atlantic City underwater and from some family I've heard that water has already breached the sea wall in Sea Bright. I know Belmar was already flooded as well.

Pt Pleasant sand dunes are almost gone. High tide isn't til just after 8. That's not good. Heard a few reports and seen pictures that AC is underwater. My friends were taking pictures/making videos earlier about it. Haven't seen anything lately.

My buddy says he is very worried he is going to lose everything. They are on Trenton and Boston very close to the Ocean. He had to leave yesterday. My cousins are on Sanborn near the Lake and Inlet. Close to water but hopefully far enough away. We were on Chicago/Broadway. Going to be very interesting for those people. Aren't your parents in the Brielle/Wall area? My cousin is right near the rest area on the parkway in Wall, there is a lake nearby and he says it's all flooded. Trees in his yard are down as well. Pretty much. Nothing I haven't seen before in a severe summer thunder storm. This is just a longer storm is all. Still have power, only storm damage is my dog took a dump on the kitchen floor. Meh.

My dad lives in Point Boro (not Beach, though they live off the river). My mom is in Matawan, which will flood at points for sure but won't be as huge a deal. I have friends in Manasquan and Belmar, too, but both a mile or more inland. Most worried about my dad in Point Boro for sure, the surge could be high enough where his boat could be in big trouble.
Must be neighbors with my cousin, they live in the Boro near the river. he recently moved but I think his yard might be on the river. He's a 1st responder so I worry about his wife and kids if he has to leave which will undoubtedly be very soon I'm sure. I've got a friend in Belmar, she owns a store very close to the beach and she is walking distance to it. I know she has power for now but has posted some pictures of the streets flooding.

No shit... it is gone? Unreal and this thing still hasn't made landfall yet. I used to ditch school and surf there all the time. Wow... I used to do teen night there and try and pick up North Jersey skanks. Wow... I am speechless. I've also found out that my uncle who lives in Seaside has decided to stay and bear it out. He is stuck now...
yea thats truth, its gone, alot of the boardwalk was takin up for replacing before the storm, yea island heights for the most part is actually pretty high up.
Wasn't there someone posting from Bayville? Mangano just said that the main (and only) road into Bayville (I forget the name of it) will be undermined, and Bayville will be cut off completely. This is some bad shit. Bayville always floods. Anyone still there ... well, their lives are in harms way to say the least. I could imagine half of the buildings in Bayville just being swept away. I proposed to my ex-wife at Rienhart's in Bayville back in the day. Fond memories of that town. I know I've downplayed this thing, or so it might seem. I was just saying given my location, it would not be a dangerous event for me, personally. Bayville is not some rich hoidy toidy town. It's middle class hard working folk. Bayvillers, you are in my prayers.
