I hope he gets the head of Reggie as much as he's gotten into the head of some of the whiners on the forum and in the post.....Don't be scurrrred! I hope we keep him in the fold!
Landry definitely brings the wood, but I saw a half dozen plays on Sunday where he was chasing guys in coverage. He's absolutely a tough, physical player who can intimidate the opponent. I'm just not sure he's all that "complete" as a safety though. He's a bit of a liability back there in coverage. And this isn't to pick on him specifically, but I can't stand it when ANY defensive back celebrates a big hit after a receiver just picked up 8 or 10 or whatever number of yards. Brandon Meriweather used to do that all the time. Nice hit, good for you. But they got a first down. Ass.
So Rex wants an apology from Bush but it's cool for Landry and Maybin to publicly talk about "head hunting" and how they want to "knock out Bush"? Classless quotes from a classless organization. Seriously, how many morons can you put on one team?
Well, Bush was talking about Revis Christ. There is a difference between mortal men like Reggie Bush and our Darrelle Revis.
But it's completely justified when Bush openly celebrates the Jets best player going down for the season? Sorry . Landry's tackle was clean & just b/c Bush can't play through the pain & has sour grapes doesn't make it ok to celebrate an opposing team's misfortune. Now he's gonna get what's coming to him. I hope Landry & Maybin really do knock him out..legally of course
I agree... I could do without all the talk the jets have done on a whole because the past 2 years they haven't backed it up. I think the landry has solidified the secondary and he and bell have been massive upgrades of what we have had in the past. Not just because he's a dolphin and said it about revis, but I think reggie bush comment is one of the most disgusting made in years saying"revis deserved to be hurt" there a difference between acting like a tough guy and playing hard.(Part of which is intimidation) and making a classless comment when a guy is injured.. My classless stattment for the week I hope reggie bush suffers a career ending injury. Lol
Classless players and fans. Of course we already knew that. I feel kinda bad for the few good fans you do have. Your argument is that Bush didn't get upset about Revis getting injured? He listened all week from people like the head coach that they wanted to hurt him. All Bush basically said was karma is a bitch...and it was.
Bush is an asshole. He deserves whatever Landry gives him this game. He's a monster and his job is to make receivers afraid to catch the ball and constantly look over their shoulder. I hope he stays healthy and gets a longterm deal after this season. With Revis out, Landry makes it a lot less noticeable.
Players always say they want to hurt, punish etc.. Guys on anither team. There a difference between saying u want to beat up on a guy and glad he's injured. There no defending his statment. It was as clasless as could be. Like I already stated I only hope reggies leg snaps and gets injured. That would be karma
Its football. Who gives a shit about class. Richie Incognito would like to say hello. Remember a few weeks ago when he tried to break someones ankle about 7 seconds after the whistle.
Exactly. Landry never says Im glad that guy is injured or anything like that. Even after hurting Fred Jackson on a legal tackle he said he was sorry he was hurt and wouldn't wish that on anyone. Bush got hurt from Landry but that was a pretty soft injury. He didn't even hit Bush hard. Landry is an enforcer. He's what everyone here wanted for awhile and now that we have one everyone keeps whining about it. The only dirty move he has is hitting people out of bounds he needs to keep that in check.
The bottomline is the Jets are a classless team. From coaches tripping opposing players to guys publicly discussing purposely hurting opposing players. Everybody knows the Jets are a bunch of loudmouthed punks except for their fans. Get a clue. There's no point arguing with you people. The Fins will do their talking on the field. It took Revis, Holmes, and missed field goals from Carpenter to beat Miami last time. Good luck repeating that.
It's call frustration cause we have won NOTHING since 01/12/69 & on top of that our fans also can not see us winning anything in the next few years at the very least
I'm honestly TIRED of posts like this. Hot sauce doesn't mean "try to injure them". That's utterly stupid. It means play them hard and focus on stopping them. Claiming it's karma is a fucking asshole statement. Nobody was trying to injure Bush. We knew all the way that he would be the hardest player to stop on the Dolphins, hence throwing hot sauce on him because we had struggled against the run and our linebackers were underperforming. People are stupid. Tell em why you mad, son!! Tell em! Listen, you are the one posting on an opposing team's message board. YOU need to get a clue and stop trolling us. Stick to the phins board where you can worship Bush & Tannehill and talk about how happy you are that Revis got injured. When's the last time anybody on the Jets said they were happy about an injury to another team? The Jets have been QUIET this year, it's not nearly the same as 2010 when they made bold predictions and talked crap every week. Our team is much better than it was in week 3. Here's karma. The Jets will sweep the phins for the first time under Rex Ryan and send you back to the bottom of the division where you belong.
Calm down. Sheesh. I wish Landry had used a more delicate phrase than 'head-hunting', but I think as long as he plays hard and legal, it's all good. As for Reggie Bush, he should be more careful and not say things like that. Personally, I don't see why he's talking so much trash considering that the Dolphins are only half a game ahead of us (due to having a bye).
Clearly, Bush did not openly celebrate Revis injury. He made a comment about karma because he felt certain Jets were purposely trying to hurt players. Landry's talk just backs up what Bush was talking about in the first place, and rex should have just kept his mouth shut and kept his own house in order. If the idea is to scare Bush, I'm sure Landry could have waited until kickoff time and whispered something to him on the first play or so. If they keep their mouths shut and take out bush with a nice clean hard hit, good for them. Now, they'll be scrutinized like crazy no matter how it happens if he gets hurt.
arrests since 2000: Miami 27 Jets 8 arrests under current coaches: Miami 2(in less than a year) Jets 1(in 3+ years) which team asked a potential draftee if his mother is a prostitute? which team has a "celebrity" owner that wets herself on stage? which team had 2 DUIs in 2010 w/ no punishment for either player? which team had a halftime ceremony to homor an opposing QB? which team was interviewing HCs while they had a HC? if this doesn't say class I don't know what does.
