I certainly do. That doesn't change the fact that Tim Tebow was the very worst in the league at 3rd down as a whole.

I have no idea if the second half numbers are better than the first. I'm not going to dig through the play-by-play of every Tebow start to find out. But here are his 3rd down conversion stats from last year, including the playoffs:

    Regular Season:
    2/9
    3/14
    2/14
    4/12
    2/11
    3/13
    6/17
    6/15
    5/17
    4/10
    2/12
    5/18

    Playoffs:
    3/10
    3/6

    That is beyond pathetic.

That is atrocious. It is even slightly worse than the Broncos did in 2010 with Orton but not by much. Wonder how they won all those games? BTW - Denver was ranked 20th in total first downs last year not great but far from the worst or pathetic. There were even a couple of teams below them in the stat you picked. But I agree they were pathetic too.

The kid did a good job for Denver last year - not sure what has this burr up your butt. Sorry you had to endure that terrible experience at Denver last year. Getting to the playoffs and a playoff win must have sucked.

Nice work, but no one is "try"ing anything. No one is disputing the numbers, they are what they are, the point was to consider the conditions under which they were created. You're not the only guy slinging those numbers around as if they rest entirely on Tebow.

But picking a record-setting game to dispute the 2nd half difference is misleading. I didn't pick the Steelers game to make my point. That game you cited was atrocious and no one is disputing that, the worse performance I have ever seen, he was throwing wounded ducks all over the field. Horrible. But with respect to the 2nd half, you can't use that one game to prove a point. I'm not about to go through game by game, but I watched them all and I'd still be willing to bet his 2nd half conversions were better on the whole, and probably better still in the 4th quarter alone.

This was not to prove that Tebow is bad. We know he is bad. This was to show that Denver did not go run, run, pass on every series. That is complete horse shit.

Only one time in the entire Lions game did Denver go run, run, pass. One single series in a total of 16 possessions.

McCoy mixed in plenty of 1st and 2nd down throws but Tebow simply didn't execute. That is why he set records for 3-and-outs, not because of the play calling.

so now its just tebow its not the team.

    So you say:

so when Denver wins its team (I agree)

when they lose or go 3 and out its Just Tebow (ok)

Your only agenda is to disparage Tebow no matter what because he made you look like a fool last year.

    Pretty much this ^^^

He claims that Tebow supporters are hypocritical, when he is the biggest hypocrite (and clown) of them all.

This is one of my favorite phaytal quotes from last year on the Broncos forum (not favorite one of...)and the reason he had to chase Tebow over here , at least I can show others what Phaytal's motivation is (mainly that tebow made him look like an ass clown).

This is what he said after Tebow was named starter:

You "know" nothing. You're cherry picking the stats/games to suit your acrimonios opinions.

The play calling (in the first half) was terrible. Terrible. It was a huge factor in the 3rd down problems. I watched in week after week.

I can't find 3rd down information by quarter or half, but I did find this information. With Tebow as starter for the Broncos (weeks 7 thru 17), here is their scoring breakdown:

    1st Half: 60 points
    2nd Half: 144 points

You're telling me there is no difference in play calling? Or that their 3rd down conversions were no better in the 2nd half?

Clearly you've never heard the adage - 'Quarterbacks earn their paychecks on 3rd down'. You should look it up. It's a very old saying.

    Look, it's pretty simple:

    - Tim Tebow had the worst completion percentage of any quarterback to play in the NFL, since 2002.
    - Most 3rd downs are passing plays.

    This is not rocket science.

The point was that Denver did not go run, run, pass hardly ever last year. It is a fantasy dreamt up by Tebow fanatics looking to justify his horrible play for the first 55 minutes of every game.

Go back through game logs and tell me what you find. Money says you come back with nothing.

As to the 2nd half scoring anomaly, most team tend to score more points, playing from behind, against soft prevents. Lets use some common sense here please.

That sir is BS. I just looked at the play by play and there were at least three possessions in the first half that were run run pass punt. The first series that ended in a TD was 9 runs and 2 passes. Stop lying.

WTF are you talking about. We are talking about the Detroit game. How about you get with the fucking program and not call people liars when you are the one who is clueless. Only one time in the first half did they do run, run, pass.

Let me get this straight - you sifted through a years worth of my posts on the Bronco Country forum so that you can, in your mind, show me up on this board? Do you have a text file on your desktop with 2 year old quotes from me in it?

    Amazing.

    p.s. Tebow still fucking sucks.

3rd downs are important, but winning even more.
He also led a 1-4 team to the playoffs and made the 2nd round.

    That is not rocket science.

This is where we see things very, very differently.

I see it as our defense, and incredible special teams play led us to the playoffs. Our running game played a huge part in our run as well, and I absolutely credit Tebow for helping in that respect of our offense.

    That's about it.

The proof is in the pudding, my friend. If Tebow was even half the quarterback that Club Tebow seems to think he is, he would be starting somewhere. Anywhere. Instead, he's riding pine behind a bad quarterback. Get over it.

Let's get this straight. Your agenda in life is to discredit Tim Tebow. Nice goal in life. Like I've told you before, do something positive with your energy and time. Seems like you've spent hours upon hours on the web trying to prove to others that Tebow can't be successful. Dude, I hope you can just let go of this obsession. It sounds to me like it consumes you.

My apologies - I was indeed looking at the Bills game. So about the Lions game:

First quarter first series: Run Run Pass Run Run Pass

Second Quarter third series: Run Run Pass

Third Quarter 3rd first down in 4th series: Run Run Pass

End of 3rd quarter 2nd first down in last series: Run Run Pass

4th quarter second series: Run Run Pass
